<Ah, Max Rebo? www.starwars.com/databank/character/maxrebo/index_movie.html> Yes! That's it! Now, what is that thing? It looks funny.
<Hmm, getting my genres mixed up. I can't wait for LOTR and AOTC to come out on DVD so I can watch it on my VCR since I don't have CATV.> Hehe, I have both Lord of the Rings and Attack of the Clones on DVD already but both are bootlegs. The LotR one is very clear but the AotC one is so blurry!
<You saw the plans for the Death Star near the end of AOTC. That's that sphere shaped thing that was projected on the walls of that cave. That's what that bug like alien with the tentacles hanging from his lips was talking about a "secret weapon." He showed it coing from a Palm PC looking thing then clapped it shut and left.> Oh yes, and I remember some alien giving Dooku the plans of the Death Star. I meant were there any machinery before the Death Star that was able to destroy whole planets?
<The only ships the Trade Federation had before were those big bluish trangle shaped ships you saw lifting off at the end of AOTC. These are the beginning models of the Imperial Star Destroyers, mile long ships.> What are Imperial Star Destroyers? I thought the only ships they had were those giant sphere things that moved incredibly slowly. And I'm guessing the later Storm Troopers adapted from the Clones. But where did they get them from? Kamino?
<You could be right since Naboo isn't even mentioned in the original trilogy. Either Goerge didn't have any ideas for Naboo or he plans on destroying it, maybe with a partially built Death Star. "This fully operational battle station," as Emperor Palpatine says in ROTJ.> I'm thinking most likely Lucas will destroy the planet. And the beautiful Amidala too. Besides I don't think that they would just 'forget' Naboo if it weren't destroyed.
<My bad, I'm not sure what language the Ewoks is based on. I think it's Tibet, or it could be the Jawas that talk like that. At any rate you'd like both languages.> Perhaps. Tibet seems like such a peaceful place. Especially the monasteries.
<Was that the part where Han thought Leia was in love with Luke, the she tells him Luke is her brother? The Han Solo looks stunned then smiles when hes kissing her.> I don't remember what they said. But I do remember it was in Endor, the forest planet.
<A trailer home, a house with wheels!> Yes, I know.
<Oops, my bad, mee'sa not awake this morning.> Hello Jar Jar.

<<Yes! That's it! Now, what is that thing? It looks funny. >> Max Rebo is from Orto, and he is a Ortolan. Gender: Male Height: 1.4 meters Affiliation: Max Rebo Band I'm waiting for AOTC to come out on DVD and I want the Star Wars trilogy on DVD, wonder what's taking George so long? <<I meant were there any machinery before the Death Star that was able to destroy whole planets?>> None that were able to destroy planets, but I'm sure the ones they had could wipe away entire cities. <<What are Imperial Star Destroyers? >> Go here: www.starwars.com/databank/starship/imperialstardestroyer/index_movie.html<<I thought the only ships they had were those giant sphere things that moved incredibly slowly. >> Yes, those were the original star destroyers, but as you already noticed, they were dangerously under powered. <<And I'm guessing the later Storm Troopers adapted from the Clones. But where did they get them from? Kamino?>> Yes to both questions. <<I'm thinking most likely Lucas will destroy the planet. And the beautiful Amidala too. Besides I don't think that they would just 'forget' Naboo if it weren't destroyed. >> Probably. Your guess is as good as mine, but is a strange absence of any references to Naboo, the Trade federation and the like. "Yub yub!" Ewok speak. <<I don't remember what they said. But I do remember it was in Endor, the forest planet. >> I know the scene. <A trailer home, a house with wheels!> Yes, I know.>> And a toilet in front for a planter and a car lost in the tall grass somewhere. <Oops, my bad, mee'sa not awake this morning.> Hello Jar Jar. "Hello boyos, whe'sa uh, havin bombad fun."

I have never seen a Star Wars movie. *runs and hides from the Star Wars fans* I haven't really seen the original Star Wars trilogy either. I know many people who haven't seen any of the films. That's why I'm plaguing Toxic with questions.
Let's see, I'm planning on making an Amidala layout, I especially need large pictures of the scene where she's wearing the pastel gown, talking to Anakin. They have an excellent shot of the gown. Anyone know where I can get a good shot of that picture?

I know the gown of which you speak, yes that's my favorite too. But you're welcome anyway. Princess Leia is wearing that bikini because she is was a slave for Jabba the Hutt. She became a slave to help Luke save Han Solo from the carbonite freeze.

I saw AOTC while I was traveling in Ecuador this summer. I don't usually like the Star Wars movies much, but I thought this movie was cute. Cheezy as all cheezeballs, but that's part of it's charm, no? Anyway, since I saw it in Ecuador, it had Spanish subtitles. Quite amusing. And yes, I admit it! I did cry during the movie! Okay?! Are you happy now?! Yeah, all my friends teased me for days. Goy. Love, ~Mike

<<if she's a slave, why is she in a bikini? And is that where Max Rebo kicks in?>>
Princess Leia is in a bikini because Jabba the Hutt is a slob. Max Rebo and his band play for Jabba the Hutt to entertain him and his groupies and hangers on.
<<Cheezy as all cheezeballs, but that's part of it's charm, no?>>
(In my best Hollywood French accent.) Yez, eet ees. We ahre talking Cheeze Whiz. Eet iz eh, how you say, sits on a Ritz. But that was only the love scene. I liked the space battles.

And yes, I admit it! I did cry during the movie! Which scene? ;D I came very close to tears but I didn't. The ending was very sad.
Princess Leia is in a bikini because Jabba the Hutt is a slob. Max Rebo and his band play for Jabba the Hutt to entertain him and his groupies and hangers on. Ah, I see. I can picture him as a slob. But he died, didn't he? He got strangled by Leia.
I hope they put in more scenes in Naboo. They cut out two gowns! One is an elaborate gown between the explosion of the Royal Cruiser and the Renaissance-inspired Senate gown. And the other is a light powder blue outfit.

Which part was sad? The end where the Trade Federation, now the Imperial Army that had all those cool ships lifting off? Not sad but cooly foreshadowing what will happen next. <<Ah, I see. I have the DVD of TPM but I don't have a player. I want to watch Star Wars en Espaniol. Star Wars muy bueno. Padme' Amidala es bonito!

Which part was sad? The end where the Trade Federation, now the Imperial Army that had all those cool ships lifting off? Not sad but cooly foreshadowing what will happen next. No, that's not what I meant. The very end where Padmé and Anakin get married. It's sad since you know that Anakin turns evil and Padmé is going to die. That's why it's sad.
In AOTC, the DVD release or a website? I have the DVD of TPM but I don't have a player. I want to watch Star Wars en Espaniol. Star Wars muy bueno. Padme' Amidala es bonito! I saw the two gowns on a website but hopefully they will release the cut scenes in the DVD.
Since I'm bored, I'll list my top six Amidala gowns: 1. The pastel, river gown -- I love this since it's very flowy, it's beautifully coloured and how everything is draped (when Padmé moves her arms, the fabric at the back follows...) Very beautiful... 2. The golden picnic dress -- love this for it's ultra-femininity. A three piece ensemble. An off-the-shoulder wrap, a golden brocade corset trimmed with rosettes, and a long, beautiful skirt. 3. The Senate gown -- very formal and aristocratic. At the same time, feminine and elegant. 4. The wedding gown -- Victorian inspired. If there was no veil, it would make a perfect dress. I love the lace used for the gown. 5. The dinner/pear scene dress -- I don't exactly like this one but perhaps it was the setting that got to me. Anyhow, Padmé looked incredibly graceful in that outfit with the sunset drop as the background. 6. The sleeping gown in Naboo -- I don't know, she just looked so pretty with that dress! So that's my list.

Who needs DVD? Forget it. Star Wars, Attack of the Clones comes to an IMAX Theater near you this November First. Imagine seeing all that great action on a 40 x 70 foot or larger curved screen that fills up your field of vision and with sound to match. And it will be in digital format so it will look even more awesome.
