Do you have issues with cutting? Or advice for those who do it? Post here and we'll try to offer you the support you need. One thing though - try not to make your post too triggering to others.

A couple of things: Please put a warning on top of your post, IN BIG LETTERS, if it might be triggering. Those who are easily triggered should not read triggering posts. Also, do NOT use numbers; they create competition. Use variables like "X". Thank you very much. Carry on with the discussion now.

I use to cut myself. But, my friends showed me how important I was to them and other people. There was no need for me to be doing those horrible things to myself. I'm living a happy and wonderful life now! 8)

I am very proud of myself! I didn't really realize how much harm I was doing to myself and other, I suppose. If anyone needs any help, I'm always here for you girls...and guys! ;D

Yes, please don't. There are many more effective ways of dealing with anger... you just need to find what works best for you. I'd really reccommend doind a few stretches... seriously. Like, attempting doing the splits. It hurts. But it's constructive pain. I do this whenever I get worked up about something. Not only does my anger and frustration melt away, but it also improves my flexibility. You really should try it.

I encourage those who self-harm to seek professional help. Even if you are able to stop cutting, the underlying issues that cause you to cut can still remain. Therapy can help with these problems and make dealing with them easier, so you won't cut again. You are all precious people and I don't want anything bad to happen to any of you, so if you are putting yourself in danger with self-harm, I urge you to see a therapist so you can stop hurting and start being happy.

I've cut a couple of times. I try not to, but sometimes you just get really sad and it feels like the right thing to do. I know it's not the right thing to do.. but it's hard to control it.
I don't think I need help, I don't think I have major suicidal problems.. it's just a way to escape every once in a while.

Last night... I scratched. It hurts... alot. But... oh ya! I forgot... I Only slipped on the ice... REMEMBER?! yes, I know it's bad to tell people that but I can handle my own problems thank-uu!

never heard of doing the splits as an alternative to self harm. I see a therapist, it doesn't do anything. I don't like talking about it to people. It makes me feel ashamed, like I was bad for doing it.

Self-harm should NOT be considered as a healthy way of dealing with pain. Anyone who does this really SHOULD seek professional help. There are other, healthier, more constructive ways of dealing with your pain. I urge those who self-harm to seek those options out.
