I am reading a lot of Lurlene McDaniel books lately. I used to think they were to sad but I like some of them now like- *Time to Let Go, *Till Death Do Us Part, *Saving Jessica. I am trying to find the sequel to "Till Death Do Us Part." It is called "For Better, For Worse, Forever."

Hehe Till Death Do us Part is a great book, and so is the sequel!!
Not to mention the tv series inspired by it "All in the Family" is hilarious.

I just finished Christopher Rice's 'A Density of Souls' which was an awesome book. And now I've moved onto F. Scott Fitzgerald's 'The Great Gatsby'.

Last night I finished reading "Midnight Preditor" by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. That is a really cool book, I love Amelia, she's such a great writer! And right now I'm in the middle of "Blood and Gold" by Anne Rice.

I'm reading Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand (obviously). I haven't even finished a third of it, and it's already my favorite book, without a doubt.
I'm getting close to finishing the first part. This book is UNBELIEVABLE. Before I read it, I was extremely annoyed with trying to find the plot to this book. For some reason I just couldn't find a good summary anywhere. There were a million rave reviews, but nothing to tell me what happened in the book.
Now I see why. It has a tremendous range--you could never describe every important situation. It's very suspenseful, and it keeps surprising you. I've never read a book like this. Everytime you turn the page, something big seems to happen, which is great, because it never gets boring.
It's so realistic and so true to the way society can be. Read this book, because um...I said so.

i just finished Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut tonight. it was a fairly weird book... but i liked it. it was an anti-war book with a main character who is mostly crazy.. the story jumps around a lot between the times when the protagonist is in WWII, post-WWII with his family, and a surreal dreamworld the guy has on another planet with aliens. pretty weird. and funny. it was on my required reading list for my AP English class.
tomorrow i'm going to start A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest J. Gaines, the last book on my summer reading list. from other people i've spoken to, i gather that it's a pretty good book. i hope so.

Right now I'm reading Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. I have to read it for freshman honors english. I am on page 106, and so far I HATE IT. People say it's such a good book, so full of meaning and symbolism...blah. Yes, it's full of symbolism, but it drags and drags and is very repetative (sp?) and is just very...boring. Plus, Ray Bradbury reminds me of when my evil science teacher would make us listen to Ray Bradbury sci-fi tapes every Friday while he graded papers. Blah.

I have to read Farenheit 451 for Freshman English Honors too, Gabster. Along with The Time Machine by H.G. Wells, which I have started first. So far it's not a bad book... I saved Farenheit 451 for last because I thought it would be better, I hope your reccomendation isn't true in my case!

Spazmatical, I haven't read a whole lot of his works, but I would suggest the short story Harrison Bergeron (spelling, I'm unsure of), if you can find it. It really doesn't seem all that great, but it makes you think for a long time.
I'd also suggest renting or buying the movie to that story if you can find it, it's really got one of those never-forget-it endings (they change the ending in the movie)

Well for my Brit Lit class we had to read Beowulf and for my AP Lit class we're going to start Heart of Darkness. Beowulf was kinda cool but I'm not really looking forward to the other one.
