Right now I'm reading The Power of One its about a English boy in South Africa right before WWII, where the seeds of the Apartheid are being planted, who has to overcome prejudice against him from Afrikaners, and how he overcomes adversity to become the welterweight champion of the world. Its really cool book and I reccomend you reading it.
I also just finished reading Bias its a great book that exposes left-wing bias in the media. I guess you have to be into that sort of thing to like it, but I found it to be really good.

At this point in time I am reading The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. It's a really good book, if your into the Arthurian Legends. Um at this point I'm 3 pages into "The King Stag" section. Just as a side note: If the Arthurian Legend does interest you, I reccommend "Mad Merlin" by J. Robert King. It's not as good as some others, slightly childish and infantile at times, but still an interesting rendition of The Sword and the Stone, the Once, and Future King

I just finished reading 'Lord of the Flies'! I thought it was a very good book. It's about a group of boys who are stranded on an island wiht no adults or other people to look after them. After a while they are devided into two groups, one larger group who turn into 'savages' and the smaller group who still are 'normal'. And right now I'm reading a Dutch book... ~*Esther*~

i'm reading The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. again. i read it last year for a book report, and i loved it. so, my teacher this year has assigned it (i believe it's required reading for sophomores here), and i definitely don't mind. reading something you already enjoy for class isn't half bad... and it's interesting to hear other people's opinions on it the next day in class discussions.
for those of you poor souls (hehe) who haven't read it.. it's basically a stream of consciousness of a sixteen year old boy from about the time he was suffering from a mental breakdown. it's a really easy book to relate to.

I'm reading Julius Caesar (A play, not a book, but whatever) for English. I'm not really sure if there are really supposed to be bad guys in this story...but I think I'm on their side.

I'm actually not reading a book right now but I just finished The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. I love Oscar Wilde, I love his work. I think he's just brilliant. I recommend the book if you can stand reading older books. Oscar Wilde was alive in the 1800s so his books are quite hard to understand sometimes.

I'm reading the Left Behind series. It is about the Rapture and the people who are left behind and come to believe. It is really good and I fly right through the books. Right now I finished the fourth book and am looking forward to the 5th.

Currently, I'm reading Dark Angel by V.C. Andrews. Its kind of corny but I have to admit, it is entertaining.

Lord of the Flies! Catcher in the Rye! Julius Caesar! woot! Those are all books I read last year/this year for English class...I those books. They're so wonderfully written. (Not to mention how goshdarn HOT Holden Caulfield is! There's an entire thread at Estro about how we all wanna jump his bones.) Anyway. Back on topic. I'm currently reading a cheezy romance novel (you know you them!). I just finished Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister, which a friend gave me for my birthday. Oh, and the most-goodest book evvvver: Dune, House Atreides. Daaaamn. I think I'm not gonna return it to the library. Love, ~Mike "My name is a disappointment / I only disappoint myself"

I am reading "Summer Sisters" by Judy Blume. I never knew she wrote adult books. This is a great book about 2 friends and their differences and how they stay together though it all. I highly recommend it though, most of you could probably relate it to a friendship in your life, I know I did.

I just started reading A Walk To Remember by Nicholas Sparks. I decided to read it after many of my friends told me that the book was far better than the movie. We'll see.
