It's amazing... I have seen some people my age still enjoying the Baby-Sitters Club, and I'm reading Anne Rice.
I just started #1 of the Vampire Chronicles- Interview With the Vampire. I'm over halfway through. It's amazing. I would definately recommend it if you're into Francesca Lia Block. Both authors have a way with their writing... You feel like you're in a trance when you're reading it.

Right now, I'm reading "The Cradle Will Fall" by Mary Higgens Clark. I'm actually re-reading it, because I've read it a few times. I need something to read at work, because there's never anything to do. So I just grabbed that book off my bookshelf.

I've read Number The Stars, Things Fall Apart, and most of the Anne series. All good books. Right now I'm reading Catch-22 by Joseph Heller, which is one of the most amazing books ever. I just finished The Doctor's Wife, about the first man to perform breast surgery under a general anaesthetic (spelling?), and how his wife and mother compete for his attention, love, and the chance to be his subject in his anaesthetic tests. (Betcha' didn't know that a Japanese man actually invented the first general anaesthetic...about three decades before Americans.) And before that, I read 1984 for English class. So good! Goy! *sighs dreamily* I love books... Love, ~The Kitten~

I'm reading 'Fantastic beasts and where to find them' by Joanne K. Rowling! Heehee! It's about the 'magical beasts' that exist in the 'Harry Potter world', I'm not sure if I'll finish it though, because it could get a little boring after a while...

I'm reading "The Bell Jar" by Sylvia Plath and "Anne Frank - The Diary of a Young girl." The first half of "The Bell Jar" is really boring, but the second part gets really good because she starts going crazy. I highly recommend it! "Anne Frank" is really good, most of you have probably already read it. I really love books by Lois Duncan. Kinda for younger readers though...

I'm currently reading "Belinda" by Anne Rice (writing as Anne Rampling) for the third time. It's my favorite book; I just discovered it about a little over a year ago. It's really amazing. Anne Rice is my favorite author. ;D
I've been meaning to read "The Bell Jar" and "1984"!

The other day I started reading 'The Innkeeper's Song' by Peter S. Beagle. I'm only about 60 pages in but this book is really really cool. The author is really good at giving a mental picture. He has a very unique way of writing.

I'm reading 'Chinese Cinderella' by Adeline Yen Mah. I really like it! At first it seemed a bit stupid... but after a while it got really interesting. It's about this girl who lives in Shanghai with her family. Her mother died giving birth to her, and now her family (except her aunt) think she's bad luck. She has a stepmother, Niang, who is extremely unkind to all the kids from her father's first marriage, but especially to her. Some parts are so sad... If there's anyone else here who read the book, didn't you think the 'duckling-story' was so sad? It really almost made me cry! ~*Esther*~
