To all wiccans out there: what is your magical name? How did you choose it?
I am trying to find mine... I almost have made up my mind

I've yet to choose my magickal name. I'm partial to Radella, but I am not sure. Besides, you're not supposed to share your magickal name with anyone, unless you are to work with others - they may know if the need to presents itself. Spastic.fruit, were you asking me? I assume, but if not I'm answering anyway so Ha! ;D No. My parents are not Wiccan. They still harbor the ideas that it is a cult. But I have one older cousin, -28- whom studies it. And an aunt who is interested in spiritual religions. She is really into Shamanism.

I don't agree with you. Your magickal name CAN be kept secret, but is is not a must. It depends on your tradition and personal preference. What about altars? Describe yours... do you use all the tools or just the basics?

Get this... The boy in my class who claimed he was Wiccan that I was talking about earlier, is going on a spell-casting spree. He casts these "spells" on girls to make them go out with him, casts different injury spells and even death spells on people, it's awful! He and some of his friends started a fire in this girl's yard, and started dancing around it, claiming that he was "bringing out the spirits."
When I was asking him about his religion, I told him that being a Wiccan isn't all about casting spells. He said "Yes it is, they just cover it up!" Yeah, sure...

True, it is your own choice.
My altar is just the basic. I don't do much in the way of altar magick. So I just have what I am comfortable with. I have candles, my wand and an inscense burner on mine.
And that boy in your class is just plain ignorant. He is what gives the Wiccan religion a bad name. He is nothing but irresponsible and ignorant. For one, you are not supposed to affect a person's free will. And secondly, whatever engergy you send out, good or bad, comes back to you three fold. If he so chooses to cast death spells, I pity him for what his energy will do when it comes back around to him.

On my altar I have: a pot with a plant (earth), a candle in a beautiful holder (fire), a shell (water), incense with an owl incense burner (air). Then I have 3 small white candles to represent goddes (maiden mother crone), two illuminator candles, two stones, one black one white to represent balance, a flat stone where I put things to empower them, and that's about it. I don't have wands, athames, bollines, or anything else.
My parents don't know it is my altar. Once I was in my room and my mom said to my sister: ' go call that witch of your sister' like it was a joke. She doesn't know I am wiccan, but she told me she said that because I have so many candles on that small table it looks like an altar...

I've been really looking into Wicca..Right now I'm in a state of incredible confusion for I still hold most of my Christian beliefs true.
From what I know about Wicca and The Craft, which is the basics, I seem to have the beliefs of that religion...but my friend, who is Wiccan and a Witch says she can't tell me much more, she says if I am meant to know, I will find out. However, sehs told me some stuff that sort of scares me..I don't know if it's just because I don't know enough info or what.
I just want your personal opinion when you first got into the religion, were you scared? Is it scary? Maybe I just have convenient beliefs..

Ok ok hang on. Ouija board? White light? Poltergeists? I don't use the ouija board, and I don't know what you mean by 'white light'. What did your friend tell ya EXACTLY?
About your questions... Wicca is not a scary religion, it is filled with love and positive feelings. You should only do what feels right to you. I was never scared, couz I know my spirit guides and the lord and the lady are looking over me. Why should you be scared?

soleluna, you are so cool! ;D A friend of mine who's name is also Tammy is Wiccan and she is the most interesting person to talk to. I could talk to her for ages cos Wicca sounds so exciting, like a fantasy book, and I think it'd be so cool to live like that!!! I just think that Wicca sounds like such an exciting religion!!! ;D Byron is convinced that it is satanistic but it's not!!! How can it be??? You don't worship the devil or wish people would die. I am Christian but I'd love to find out more about Wicca. I'd take out a book but I'm pretty sure my parentals would not approve! Anyway, all you who support Wicca: ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hey everyone, I haven't been posting in here for a while because I was deeply thinking about my spirituality. I realized I am just agnostic, even if I keep many things from wiccan religion.. it is hard to explain. I still appreciate it and love it, but i got a different idea. If u go under atheism you can find out more about what i think. This is not the appropriate topic

Yes, but don't Wiccans think they have powers? Not evil of course....but just some kind of power that they get from nature or something? Because I know Wiccans are deeply interested in nature. Please answer my question, thank-you.

I don't think "powers" is quite the right word. We can't see through stone walls, or zip around the sky at the speed of light, we can't shoot spider webs from our wrists, and for the most part we don't walk around in tights with are chests stuck out. A few assorted may, but thats a different tale...
Our magickal workings are just simply influencing the natural energies for a desired outcome. If you want love to come to you, you simply ask of the pre-existing energies to help your true love come to you. (Disclaimer: you do not work magick to draw a specific person to you, that would be mucking with their will, and you do not do that) Or if you want a friend of yours, or yourself, to overcome a sickness you use ancient herbal remedies, or if you want to prevent sicknesses you ask for the help of natural herbs to influence such things, ask of those herbs to use their energy to protect you.
And it is just Witches, or Druids, or such who can do this. Anyone can, it's not a limited thing, the energy is there, the spirit is there, it is up to you to use it if it appeals to you..
