I'm reading Left Behind! It's so awesome. Really great. For my English class I'm reading The Christmas Carol, and for Accelerated Reading I'm reading The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. On the inside of the cover it says something like if you find reason in this book you will be shot. Woo! How exciting!

I finished 'Roses' and it was a really bad book. It was sort of like 'Beauty and the Beast' but it didn't make much sense. I forgot to get another book at the library so I might actually have to buy one.

I finished, "I Kissed Dating Goodbye". It was pretty good...a little on the radical side of not dating, but I enjoyed it. I reccomend it if you're a Christian looking for God's insight on relationships.
My English teacher didn't approve "Walk Two Moons" for my independent reading report, even though it was on the 9th Grade English Honors reading list. So I got a different book and I'm now reading "The Natural" by Bernard Malamud.
I'm still reading, "Secrets of the Book". I read a chapter every night before I go to bed...it's really good. I really reccomend it to Christians looking for insight.
I also want to read "Forged by Fire" by Sharon M. Draper, but I don't know if I'll have time...I need to read "The Natural" in 2 weeks, plus do 10 dialectical journal logs on it, write a theme paragraph, and prepare an oral presentation.

^^^I've heard of both of those books...but havent read them...
Anywhoo I'm almost done with Its Time to Be Bold by Micheal W. Smith...its an awesome book. It talks about going through the struggles of living in the world while being a Christian and how to become stronger and how to use our faith and spread the word....being bold in the world. So ya...its really good.

^^^I've heard of that book too, but never read it. Anyways, I'm now also reading Chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul III. I love the Chicken Soup books. They're so good...I go through them really fast though because I can't put them down. I'm about 30 pages away from being done..and I started it on Christmas Eve before I went to bed.

I started 'Eating Chinese Food Naked' by Mei Ng. I'm only about thirty pages into it, and so far its about an Asian girl that moved back in with her parents, and about her parents' relationship, her relationship with them. So far it's perty good. I'll post more what it is about when I finish.
I'm going to start 'Dance Upon the Air' by Nora Roberts in a few days. My sister gave it to me for Christmas because it was "the best book she has ever read!"

I finished Chicken Soup For The Teenage Soul III. It was really good, of course. As previously stated, I love the Chicken Soup books. I also finished Secrets From The Book. I really enjoyed it...it put Bible verses together in a way where you could see exactly what you needed to see on whatever subject. Last night I read, "Forged By Fire", because it was only 150 pages, and Sharon M. Draper's style of writing is easy to understand. It was *really really really* good. I laughed, and I cried a lot. It's about child abuse and poverty and death and it's just really good. I definitely reccommend it. So...currently I'm reading The Natural (still), which is getting pretty good. It's one of those books that takes a while to get into, but is really exciting.

Finished The Natural...great book, bad ending. It left too many unanswered questions...but it was an excellent book. I turned in my report and did my presentation today. Now I'm reading "Don't Sweat The Small Stuff for Teens" by Richard Carlson...my friend lent it to me...it's pretty good. Something good for my stressful-worried-perfectionist mind to read.

I started "Dance Upon the Air" by Nora Roberts on about Dec. 27. I finished it about a week later. It was very good. Now I'm starting the second book of the trilogy, "Heaven and Earth." These are about descendents (sp?) of witches, who are witches themselves, on an island. Long story... I really recommend reading it.
Edited- I don't know how to spell recommend. <--- Is that right?

I started reading Beyond the Divide by Kathryn Lasky. Spectacular! It is about an Amish girl who goes on a journey to California for the gold rush with her dad. It is very sad, but it has an almost happy ending. It is one of the best books I have ever read, and I was a bit skeptical at first because I really don't like reading historical books. Anyway, I really really recommend this book.

I started reading 'Spindle's End' by Robin McKinley. It is basically a retelling of Sleeping Beauty. Its pretty good, and worth 22 AR points (we have to have 39 by the end of the quarter). I can't complain.

I just finished A Density of Souls by Christopher Rice, and it was one of the most amazing books ever. Many interweaving stories and complex characters. Never redundant or boring, and there's always a twist lurking near by.
I think I'm going to start The Lonely Girl next. That or Local Girls. Or maybe not. I can't decide!
