Commercials You Love, Commercials You Hate

What are your favorite commercials?  Or you can't hit the remote as soon as others are on.

I like the ones for the Saturn SUV.  Where it's in miniature and being chased by a cougar, or the other one where its following an army of ants.
I like the one for Jaguar where a car is following a plow truck and the dad says, "Just follow in its tracks."  Then in the truck a new driver is told by his partner, "Just follow in its tracks."  They're following an all-wheel drive Jag.

"Red Bull gives you wiiiiings, ha ha!"

I like the one for diet Mountain Dew when the old lady tries to get into the cab and is pushed away by the younger guy.  She grabs the guy and throws him out of the cab about thirty feet and some guy says, "Now that's my kind of girl!"  Then she throws his brief case out and it bashes him in the head.  <br>
The one I hate at the moment is the one for a cell phone company where some guy with silicone implants in his cheeks is standing outside a dark building sceaming about his phone bill.  Commercials that yell at me get turned off!

I absolutely love the Geico commercials, especially the ones with the lizard. "Stop calling me! You want Geico,  not Gecko."  *LOL* And I really like the one where the squirrels are playing chicken with the car, and at the end they're high fiving each other.  Those commercials always put a grin on my face,

Hmm, what else? *Ponders* I can't think, but I know there are more that I like.

As for ones I hate, I can't stand the ones they show late at night with all the "sexy" *cough* *BARF* *cough* women saying "Feeling lonely? Call us now." or "Need excitement in your life? Give us a try." And there's a local one that costs $.69/minute. 69 cents? Give me a friggin break. Those commercials are just plain tacky.

And then there are all those stupid tarot card reading commercials. First Miss Cleo, and I've seen at least 2 others since her. No thanks. The channel gets changed when those come on.

I pretty much hate all commercials.  I hardly ever watch TV anyway.  But when I do, I'm one of those people who flips through channels during commercial breaks.

I like that new Nike commercial where they show all the different people, playing different sports and doing different things.  Then, they end it back where they started.  I think it is really clever.
I don't like the cell phone commercial where the guy keeps saying "Can you hear me now" then they show him somewhere else and he says "Can you hear me now"  And so on.  It is so stupid!!

Yep, I'm kind of a channel flipper too.  But some catch my eye.  (Ow, leggo!)

Hey Fyre, I like that commercial with the squirrels too, I also like the one for GEICO where the guy calls his dad and says, "This is a collect call for Bob,  WEOTTABABYEETSABOY."  And his father refuses the charges then tells his wife.  "It's Bob, they had a baby, it's a boy."  <br>
I also like the one for GIECO with the car constellation and the meteor smashes through the window.

Hi Keista!  Yes, I love that Nike ad with all the different sports people are doing too.  I hope they bring that one back they did last year with the players dribbling the basketballs to a cadence.  <br>
I also like that one for Cingular wireless where that bluegrass band is playing Joyful We Adore Thee.  I'd love to play an instrument like that.  I like the guitarist at the end who finishes the commercial as if to say, "Beat that."

I know what you mean.  That, "Can you hear me now?  Good.  Can you hear me now?  Good.  Can you hear me now?  Good.  Can you hear me now?  Good.  Can you hear me now?  Good.  Can you he---"  All right already I get the point!  Sheesh!

I also really liked the M&M commercials but I don't see them anymore. Like the one with Steven Baldwin and the other one when the one M&M licks the other M&M etc.
And I think the Taco Bell commerical for the Grilled Steak Taco was funny.

Has anyone seen that Samuel Adams (beer) commercial that comes on at night, where the guy is saying to his friends, "No, I'm NOT showing you that tape," then he drinks the Samuel Adams and forgets what he's gonna do, then they tell him he was going to show the tape. And it has a girl making all these grunting 'sex' noises and he goes, "She does yoga."   I cannot believe they'd show something like this...I guess since it comes on at late it's OK.

I hate the Geico commercials! And those Blockbuster commercials..."Shake what your momma gave ya!"

But I like the new Extra commercials..."Extra...the official gum of...bumps in the road, Extra...the official gum of unconditional love." Hee hee!

Aw, dude!  I LOVE the blockbuster commercials!  Haha.  Those are freakin' hilarious!  

I don't know what commercial this is, but some kid and his Gramma are riding in a car and the kid goes, 'Tuck-n-Roll Gramma!'  HAHAHAH.

I saw one today, a Snickers commercial, where this teenager is walking an old lady across the street, and then he says, "So what're you doing Saturday?" (or something like that) and then she walks off and he says, "Wait! I didn't even get your number!"

I love the Bell commercials where the people form all over the world are playing music together over the internet... it's the best commercial EVER created.  i think you have to live in canada to see it though.  so sucks to be you if you're not canadian.

Ahh...I LOVE the Blockbuster commercials! I actually have a quote in my profile: "that's it, carl! shake what yer momma gave ya!" heh-heh-heh.
That Geico commercial where the squirrel makes the car swerve off the road and hit a tree is precious. I love how they do the little ghetto handshake thing...and they do the "you're #1!" point at each other...hehe.
Hmmm...I'm not sure if this is what you mean, Keista, but I also like the sports one-- the one that starts off with a boy running down the street, right? And there's someone jumping off a bridge, someone diving into a pool, etc. Right?
I love those commercials with Jimmy Shea and his father and grandfather (who passed away a few weeks after they came out, aw). You know, "Jimmy Jimmy Jimmy Shea, we're callin' Jimmy!" "I'm the one that's callin', we're the ones that's callin', Jimmy-y-y!" =o)
The Coke commercials with the polar bears. They always make me think of the holidays.
I guess I like a lot of commercials. heh. I'll come back if I remember more.

Blockbuster!  Ah, that was precious.

I've seen the Samuel Adams commercial, I thought it was pretty funny.

There was one on during the Super Bowl for Bud Light.  A woman is up in the bedroom, with satin sheets, her lingerie on, the whole bit.  The guy is downstairs watching TV, totally uninterested.  She then says something like "Honey, I have the Bud Light..." and he runs up the stairs, ripping off his clothes, and slides onto the bed... only to go right out the window, and meet his neighbors, while he's naked.  

I love the Herbal Essences commercials too.  "You mean you've never had an organic experience?" (Yes, I'm sure "organic" is the word they're looking for ) and... "WORK IT! WORK IT! WOO!"

I think Ruby Wax's Commercial Breakdown has some of the funniest commercials made. Watching the show makes me laugh.

One of my favorites advertises Sky Television. A guy walks into the takeout joint, and picks up his order. The woman behind the counter asks about the results of the cricket game he's hurrying to watch on TV. Before she tells him the score, he grabs his food, covers his ears, and starts yelling. Once at home, his neighbour approaches and asks about the game. He runs inside the house and turns on the TV to the sport channel. He unwraps his newspaper-wrapped package, and there, in bold letters, is the words: New Zealand Wins 61-50.
As he sits silently, the announcer in the background says: What will you be doing without Sky Television?

I also like the one where Tiger Woods is advertising Nike, and bounces his golf ball on his stick, and hits it over the distance.

Although I hate ads, the above are the few rare ones I enjoy enough not to change the channel.

It's this one commerical for Volkswagon Jetta and the guy is gonna buy the car and then he sees some ppl walkin torwards that looks like they might buy it so he licks the car door handle so they won't wanna open the car ! SOOO Hilarious !!
