I think our school was untouched by the "It's-trendy-to-be-Punk" thing because we don't have hottopic available where we live. I think it's only a USA store.
I never really see any people in our school that fit the stereotype of "punk" that you see on T.V, on the internet, and everywhere else. But I know there's specific people that listen to the music and don't really care about their looks- they just wear what they like and what's comfortable to them. Most importantly, they don't go out and buy $50 "I love Punk" shirts with a safety pin in them. And I guess that's good, because it means there's more to punk than how you dress.

I'm punk because a quiz says so. Well, actually the quiz says i'm only 49% punk! Oh Em Gee. I think I'm gonna go listen to the Casualties and smash things now. Oh yeah, and get drunk. Because we all know how much punks like the drinking and the drugs, and being destructive! Riiiight. Especially the straight edgers. sXe til we od! Oi Oi oi! I'm in a sarcastic mood today.

People use to think I was "goth" last year... and i don't get it but anyways my friend once said "if your goth.. what am I?" Nice to put yourself under a steortype isn't... sometimes even refreshing. Oh by the way this certain person listens to Avril. But you know how the saying goes "whatever floats your boat". I've never met a "punk" person in my life. I only meet people. Oh right we're suppose to talk about how it's a trend now. Well if you wanna go buy 65$ pants at Hot Toppic, wear balck nail polish, spike or color your hair, and wear spikes. Be my guest I personally don't have a problem with it. Wear what you want weather its trendy or not. well im going to make like a cow and moo this joint. Love from the Panda (aka pandaprincess aka anothernightalone aka me!)

hmm.. would it make a "Punk" if I wear plaid caprees (not tight) with a red shirt that says "It's all about me" with a cartoony cat on it, and boots that tight up to my mid-calf and are 4 in. heels??
Or would it just make me a "wannabe" .... cause personally I love that outfit. I should start wearing it more.... hmm

I perosnally think that the way u wear ur clothes and the way u act in them is wut makes u who u r. Let's say u wore a shirt that said "I love punk" on it....u might just like how it looks, but it turns out that there are like 20 other ppl wearing the same shirt cuz they got it at hot topic or torrid. U can still wear the shirt as long as it represents ur individuality as u....not as the poser that some ppl might see u as. The whole punk attitiude has 2 form by itself...not through pricey saftey pins or plaid skirts. I mean.... u can just wake up one day and go... "I think I'm gonna b punky. Lemme just paint my nails black...and switch my shoe laces...and put on my spongebob t-shirt that i got at hot topic 4 25 bucks" I HAD a friend who did that....but the only reason she did was cuz she was listening 2 Simple Plan...now where was simple plan a few weeks ago? On Nickelodeon..right b4 a Rugrats episode. U know what else my poser friend did? She cut up her socks and sewed them back 2gether. Just like all the other girls in her school. I'm sick of ppl walking around saying they're punk cuz they like Avril Lavinge....especially if those ppl have absolutely no idea who Nirvana is. Now doesnt that just upset u? B4 all the posers take over the world....tell them wut they really are...and make them stop ~Unknown

well, they probably don't get the whole idea of what anything really means.... And as everyone here knows, I used to claim I was both Punk and Gothic, but I guess I felt I had to announce it to everyone and I'm sure people think I'm a poser [on here]. I'm not like that anymore, but I do like to wear "out of the ordinary" stuff... I'm sure the ones that try to dress like Avril (I had a friend a few months ago begging to wear my clothes because she said she wanted to dress like Avril Lavigne) just want to get a shock from people who normally don't see them like that. Like they want something different. I'm also sure some of them are like the way I used to be and just get out the word that they are different, but I guess that's just my opinion. I don't think a lot of them are posers, because I bet a few of them [who dress like Avril and listen to Sum 41] have always dressed like that and now that there is a fashion statement that looks *cool* to teens, they want to try something new.....
