^ Totally agree !!
I love being considered Best Dressed. I like getting compliments. But I don't spend a hell of a lot of money on my wardrobe. I have 2 closets and thats still not enough. And they're nice sized closets too. I never repeat the same outfit 2x.m I mean like if I have a shirt and pants that I wore one day, next time I wear those pants, it'll be with a totally different shirt.

It sure isn't Fashion Runway @ my school. Everyone pretty much dresses the same...

I agree that it is pointless to take 2+ hours getting ready for school. No one really cares how you look, and who cares if they do. I wear what I'm comfortable in, most of the time I probably look like a slob, but I don't care what others think of the way I dress. I usually get up in the morning, walk around the house waking myself up, throw on a pair of jeans, a clean shirt and socks, eat breakfast (still trying to wake up), put on some shoes, brush my teeth, and I'm gone. I do my hair in the car. This takes me about half an hour, if I take a shower in the morning about an hour. I have to wake up at 6:30 as it is, and thats if I don't take a shower.

2 hrs plus for school is ridiculous. I also think wearing makeup (the works) is ridiculous also, but then again I'm not a makeup person so...

I say, do whatever you enjoy. Don't ever feel bad when people dress better than you, but don't make fun of them either.
I dress pretty comfyly/casually, jeans and tees and a few skirts, capris, cute tank tops etc.

Yeah I agree ^^, if someone wants to wake up at 5 am every morning to look good for school I say they go for it. Personally I don't see the point, I wake up half an hour before school starts ( I live 5 minutes away) I throw on some clothes and have breakfast, looking good at school is not a big deal to me. I don't usually wear that much make up to school either.

I've also noticed that when i wear makeup ( which isn't often) everyone notices, it makes me feel better. But some of my friends who do "the works" everyday never get compliments. All that happens is that when they don't wear makeup people are thinking: " What happened to her?"
People at my school get used to everyone the way they are so once anyone does something different, people notice.

^^^^ I notice that to. A friend who gets up everyday at about 5 does make-up, curled hair, and nice clothes, everyday. Of course she looks nice but no one notices because that's how she always dresses but one day if she doesn't feel like doing "the works" then everyone asks her if she was hit by a train that morning. Another friend usually wears her hair in a pony tail with out make up will then occasionally wear hair down with a little eye shadow and ssome other stuff and gets noticed because it's different.
Myself, I wouldn't be able to get up early everyday too look nice it takes me about half an hour tops and 15 minutes of that is waking up
I wash my face brush my teeth go pull on a tee shirt jeans and a sweatshirt go brush my hair ane put it into a ponytail put on some jewelry like a necklace and braclet or somthing and i'm out the door.
