I don't like Dirrty. She has such a beautiful voice she does'nt need to show off her body. She's selling her music, not her body. I wish that she could see that. She could make it well enough alone without wearing ho-ish clothes, if Avril can.

Avril "made it" by turning punk into a joke and a fashion trend And anyway, Avril is not much better when it comes to dressing. Yeah, okay, she doesn't look like a ho, i'll give her that. But can she just stop it with the damn ties already? Have you ever seen a picture of Avril where she WASN'T wearing a tie? I sure haven't.

^same here. I also agree with Loo, she doesn't need to show off her body with all those nasty clothes, because she has an incredible voice.

Ya, it's really unfortunate that she thinks she has to show off like that to be 'herself'. I mean if she wants to show a little skin that's fine with me but she crosses the line of decency with a lot of what she wears. But I really don't care about her outfits, she can do whatever she pleases. The truth is tho the girl has a darn powerful voice and when she uses it right and actually sings instead of screams it's a beautiful thing.

When I saw the video for Dirrty, I saw extremely disgusted. She is such an amazing singer with an amazing voice. I think she really shows off her talent in her song Beautiful. I was just searching thru the radio channels and i heard this beautiful voice, and low and behold, it was her. That song is so beautiful (heh), and it helped me with my day. I was having a bad day, I had woken up late, I was almost late for school, I was a wreck and just felt like crap. I heard the song and I started feeling so much better about myself and my self esteem was lifted. I'm thinking that I'm going to download some of her other songs from Stripped, and if I like them then I might buy her CD.

The song Beautiful really touches me. I can relate to it SOOOO much! I've been battling with my self-image for as long as i can remember, and that song reallu makes me feel better for myself and feel like I'm not alone. I listened to that song online after I read your post. It brought tears to my eyes, because it seemed to fit in so perfectly into how I'm feeling, and the situation I am in now. Words can't bring me down...oh, no...

Christina does look pretty trashy for a woman who can afford Gucci.

Christina Aguliera really needs to get her priorities in line. I wonder how her mother feels about her wearing things like that. She is so talented, she doesn't need to wear ho-ish clothes or sing about sex all the time.

The song "I'm Okay" is haunting. How horrible to have that happen to you as a child. Christina is an awesome person, she's not afraid of what people think of her. Although, yes most of the time she dresses trashy, she's experimenting with style. My god, if the girl wants to wear a bra and miniskirt, just let her. A lot of girls dress like that anyway. I like some of her skirts though. They are kinda cute, THOUGH ONLY WORN FOR EXTREME PARTYING. lol. i love her voice, its amazing. "Beautiful" is the best song ever. its actually about your self-eteem! when i've had a bad day, i have that song in full repeat. think what you want about her, and if you don't like her, don't waste ur time obsessing over it.

I really don't see what the big deal is if Christina wears something revealing. Newsflash: Just because a girl shows a lot of skin doesn't make her a ho. Stop being so friggin judgemental and acting like you know about her life when you really don't. I can take Christina or leave her, but her looks have nothing to do with it.

I totally agree 80s child! have you ever heard the phrase "be sexy, it doesn't mean you have to have sex"? well that applies to christina.

I agree 100% that just because a person dresses 'sexy' or shows a lot of skin doesn't make them a ho. But to me a lot of what Christina has chosen to wear lately is in really bad taste and as I said in my earlier post she crosses the line of decency.

Why is everyone so focused on what someone wears? Does it really matter all that much? We go around spouting about how we shouldn't go and judge people by appearances, but people in this thread seem to be doing just that. I happen to have gotten Christina Aguilera's latest CD, and I really like it. Her music is powerful and is helpful to the self-esteem. And yes, I like the song "Dirty", it's catchy and fun to dance to (even though I can't dance ). The girl has talent, and what she wears makes no difference to that. STOP JUDGING AND START LISTENING.

I hate the song "Beautiful". First of all, it's boring and completely unoriginal. It just lacks creativity and a good melody. The lyrics are just so cliche. How many times have we heard "you're beautiful no matter what people say"? Not that lyrics are really important, but Christina's music lacks everything else as well. Everyone thinks she's so "real" just because she portrayed gay people in her video. She's doing the same thing as Avril Lavigne: trying to be "different", because being a non-comformist is "in" nowadays. Well, guess what? Christina is a non-conformist... just like everyone else!
