Have any of you read this book? It's about Rachel Joy Scott, a girl who was killed at Columbine High School April 20, 1999, during the shooting. It's an awesome book, and really shows her walk with Christ. She's really an inspiration, and almost seems like a prophet. What do you all think? And nothing mean about Christians please.

I've read parts of that book, and it was inspiring. I can't believe that tragedy happened. I think the rest of the victims got overshadowed by Cassie Bernall, but God knows how much Rachel loved Him, and He is definitely holding her in Heaven!

Yeah, I agree.^^ Almost everything she said seemed very prophetic, and I think He prepared her for that. If you get a chance read the whole thing, it's amazing.

Oh my goodness...you all have no idea how shocked I am to have seen this book in here. Most of you well know that I am Columbine-obsessed. I'm just fascinated with every aspect of it. I can't explain why, I just am. I have not been able to get my hands on a copy of Rachel's Tears. I hear Rachel's journals describe how she disliked herself and had low self esteem. I find that very sad and somewhat disturbing. I do think the other victims were sort of overshaddowed by Cassie and Rachel, but Rachel was deserving of it (I have this long theory on how Cassie never said a word about God, but this is not the place for me to explain it). Rachel, from what I have learned, was truly a beautiful person. She was very loving and kind, and she was willing to fight for what she believed. I don't think anyone will let her memory die, she was an amazing and strong person. It's been rumored that Dylan Klebold actually asked HER if she believed in God, outside, where she was killed. No one knows if this is true or not, but they had been childhood friends, and he knew damn well that she did. Her family has also been very strong, especially her brother Craig, who was a freshman in the library at the time. Sorry, now I'm all off topic from the book...in any case, it's so tragic that she had to die that way--she was a beautiful person and was definitely not one of the people who would have ostracized others, especially not intentionally. I really need to get myself a copy of this book, without my parents finding out

*sigh* I just read She Said Yes last night. I have still let to find a copy of Rachel's Tears, however, I'm sure I will soon. I'm hoping to get ahead in my schoolwork this weekend and try to make it to the mall again next week and see if they have it in Walden's. Big tear jerker

^^^Rachel's Tears just might. She Said Yes probably would not. I still have yet to buy Rachel's Tears, I'm hoping Walden books has it.
Just knowing the subjects, this book would seem to hold my interest far more than She Said Yes ever could, and I really immersed myself into that. I'm much bigger on philosophy and mystery books.
Rachel's Tears, from what I know, contain a lot of journal entries of Rachel Scott. Interesting that someone who was so beautiful with so much faith could hate herself that much.
Heather, I haven't found this book, however, I've only asked a couple of bookstores. They didn't have a lot of the books I've asked for, I wouldn't recommend Barnes and Noble for these books. You can always ask if they have it, but it's unlikely they will. I saw She Said Yes at Borders, so they probably have Rachel's Tears...
I got She Said Yes from Waldenbooks, however. The store is small here, but it has a LOT of harder to find books. I wouldn't go looking for either of these books, though, just ask. They're both extremely thin, and most of the time, they're in paperback.
If you end up liking it, you might want to buy Chain Reaction, by Rachel's father, Daryll.
*sigh* I have much reading to do when I get to the mall and buy all four books I want.
