what do you all think of Rhoald Dahl? i'm pretty sure that sometime in our life we have had a book by him read to us, or we read one of his.
i personally like:
Matilda~it shows that parents don't always know best (lol!).
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory~i just like chocolate...and besides i learned that you don't have to be rich to get everything.
what are some of your favorites?

My favourite was "The Witches" and "George's marvellous medecine". I actually (tried to) make George's medecine!!

I remember The Glass Elevator, which was a sequel to Willy Wonka. I liked that better, the teacher read to us once.

He is one of my favorite authors!
I liked The Witches, George's Marvelous Medicine (I love that part where he's putting all the ingredients together!), Matilda (the movie didn't do the book justice), The BFG, and Danny, The Champion Of The World.

I've read all of the above, and had the Witches read to me in school too. I had read it before, and I didn't listen, so I never got anything right when the teacher asked questions afterwards! (it was always things like "with what did the boy feed the mice?", things you can't possibly remember anyway).
