Where do you get your music books from?! They have NO places in town that have French Horn books. The ones I use I get from my school but I would really like more of a variety! Anyways, please tell where you buy or order them from here! Thanx in advance!

I got my book from the school, but I've also seen them at Harvey's if you have one where you live.I think there might just be a Harvey's in my town,I'm not quiet sure.

Woohoo! I play french horn.... unfortunately i only use books from school so i can't answer your question. sorry. but HEY! i finally found other ppl who play french horn! ;D

I play the flute and piccolo, and I decided to try the horn. I figured with practice, eh, it might work. NOPE! My embouchure was WAY too tight from the piccolo and I could only get extremely high notes. I still don't get how one fingering can make 4 different notes. So I switched to saxophone. Anyway, for books...I get them from school. But, I guess you could order them on the internet. Try using www.google.com to search for somewhere to order them from. Actually www.amazon.com might have them. Good luck! |

^^^I played flute too before I switched. Because of that, it was *very* hard for me to play the french horn, the way you have to shape your mouth and everything...And when we had practices before concerts for like 2 hours my braces would be killing my mouth!! So I quit this year & I am now happily taking study hall  |
