Acting is one of my passions. Though this year, the school play really sucks. We're doing And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. The play doesn't suck, the new directors and the people they cast suck. They split it up into two casts so each cast gets to perform twice.
The Directors -- the director is the mother of one of the girls who plays "Emily Brent." Emily is the supporting lead woman. You can guess how this girl got that part, she's absolutely horrid. The co-director is very good friends of the families of the two girls who play "Vera Claythorn." Vera is the lead woman. One of the girls isn't a horrible actress, but she always seems like she doesn't care. The other girl plays every character the same way: like a dizty Valley girl. This is no different.
I'm not trying to be bitter. I'm trying to be the bigger person and get over it, but it's really hard when for the past two years you have been a principal character and then your senior year you get stuck in a bit part. Maybe I just need a bit more time.
