"The dark side of Nickelodeon" I have recently read a very interesting article/essay exposing the complete history of this classic Nickelodeon show. It is quite a read, but very worth it. But be warned: It probably will lead you to feel a deep contempt for the evil forces working behind some of the largest corporations at work thoroughout the media: victorian.fortunecity.com/russell/105/storyp.htmNow we really know what it means to "pull a Ren & Stimpy".

Wow, I read 3 pages. Very interesting, I never imagined so much work like that goes behind making cartoons. I mean I know it's hard work, but the backstabbing, the crap that goes with it I never imagined.
I don't understand the point of the companies wanting to take the jokes, and funny parts out of the cartoons. Don't they WANT them to be successful? It makes no sense to me.
However, it makes me understand why some of the older cartoons I watched wasn't very funny.
