Ugh... Thank goodness! These pop up ads are driving me bonkers. I hope it works out.

That will be a relief. Really they wouldn't be so bad if they'd just back off on the graphics and animations that hog your memory and slow up your computer.

Ooh! Cool schtuff. But I just have a question for anyone who may know (I didn't feel like signing up at the support forums just to ask one question). There was mention at that thread about it being ad-free *if you pay for it* ---Ad Free? does that mean no annoying hulla dancer up there? /\ ---If you pay for ad-free, yes But the proboards staff person who started the thread never said anything about paying for it. Do you think this means that all boards will be ad-free? The other thing is...where could ProBoards possibly get the money they need to run it, without advertising? It just doesn't make any sense to me.

/\ That's a question that came to my mind. Are we going to have to pay to use these boards once they become ad-free?

^ The board admin will *probably* have to pay for their board to be add free. Or there'll be donations like EZ boards.

Oh that would be such a releif! Some of these popups are tricky! I mean, I went to click on the x in the corner to close it, and the ad actually JUMPED so I would accidently click on it! And when I have two sites minimized (one of them cloud nine), my other one will change to an ad. Oh well, lets hope it works!

Basically, for every $6.99 that gets donated, there will be 50,000 ad-free pages. Then once that runs out, it's another $6.99, and it keeps going like that. However, I don't have the money to spare, as college, bills, and car payments, etc. take a big toll on me. So unless anyone else can donate the money (which I would never ask anyone to do; this is strictly voluntarily), we're stuck with the ads. However, if you just leave them up and minimize them, no more will pop up. Or you can download an ad zapper and the problem will take care of itself. But for right now, me=poor.

If the boards being ad-free would mean that we would have to pay for them, then I'd rather deal with the stupid ads.

^ Hey, thanks for the link! I downloaded it only a half hour ago, and already I have 19 different ads that I no longer have to bother with. And that's only from two sites. Edit -- *cough* make that 37.. ;D

Your welcome, Rachel4000 told me about it. You can buy programs that are more sophistiscated, but hey, for free this works good!
