Has anyone seen the Civic Si that Alpine modified? They partnered with another company, but I forget the name. The Civic is a hatchback, for one, and it needs to be for all the stuff they laid out into it. In the end of modification, it billed out to $250k, and that is not counting all of the thousands of dollars of free stuff they got.
It's got an ocean them going on with it, with a mermaid painted across it. The interior is totally cool. There is only one seat in the entire car and it is centered right in the middle.
The seat is also melded into the interior itself and most of the interior if fiber glass. In front of the modified steering wheel (which looks like a tricked out motorcycle handle bar) are 5 screens. One is for the DVD player, one for the GameCube, and the others just show other stuff.
Behind the seat is like an open rib cage, three on each side. On the tips of each is a single gauge and when the car is started, the rib cage slides forward, bringing the gauges into place.
The interior is also painted to look like you are within the ocean with a sea blue and white and silver lines coursing across the interior.
Through all of these modifications I described, you must be expecting the engine to be totally souped up. However, the engine has not been touched, though. The company says that when they bought the car, it had some gas in the tank and that was the last time it ever would. It is never going to be driven and is now a trailer queen.
I can hardly even imagine driving that thing but I can imagine how sweet it would be to pull up in it ... Ah well ... Let me know what ya'll think.
