In day to day life, we come across violent people who hurt others. And though they have not hurt you and only disappointed you, there is a feeling that they have not had the chance so far to hurt you because you might be bigger than them or that they like you.
What do people here think about hitting someone who has never hit you to stop his or her violence towards others?
I think about this, and I would have to decide about who the person was hurting. Were they unable to use self-defense? Should I put myself in the problems of people I don't know?
This is not as easy a question as protecting yourself, but when do you protect others with using violence? There are values in cultures and codes to protect the weak. Cops use violence to protect people, and martial artists can use violence to stop violence, and I wonder what point can we use violence that is not caused by violence against you?
Injustice to one is injustice to all.
