ok so i'm redecorating my room... and since the whole inflatable chair thing wasn't working out too well i want to do the butterfly chair. my room is gonna pastel purple w/ dark purple moldings & i have picked out a purple zebra bedspread & have two regular zebra plush pillows (they're tacky yet adorable!) i was looking for a store that has a butterfly chair that's zebra... or anything else that would work. i might even be up to making a cover if ne1 has tips! thanx u guys.

try target. i bought my sister a butterfly chair there for only $15. it was most likely on sale, but i doubt they cost much more regular price. they had plain covers and printed ones, so even if you can't find a zebra one, you can always make it yourself.

they're sorta hard to describe... butterfly chairs are foldable chairs that (from the front) look a bit like two back to back butterflies connected at the wings. there's a small one in front and a larger one in back. the bottom parts of the "wings" are the legs and a cover slips onto the tops making a place for you to sit. gah. i tried. ;D here's a picture: www.butterflychairs.com/images/flagchair.jpg

are they actually comfortable? i was thinking about getting one, but i have to mail order it, cause i can't find them in my area. but i don't want to make a mistake... an unrelated chair question: you know those retro chairs that are kind of round? what are they called? eggshell chairs? does anyone know what i'm talking about? they're from the 60's or 70's....and the guy in dazed and confused has one in his room.

i don't think they're very comfortable... if you're like me and can sit normally in a chair, these things are not for you.
those other chairs are egg/pod chairs, and trust me, they are not cheap.

I love butterfly chairs when they have a silvery base (well, they usually do) and are in bright, vibrant colors, or have fun pattern on them. They're just cute

I have a butterfly chair, which I got for Christmas this year. I love it. I find it really comfy and cozy...it's got a plush purple cover and it's just very snuggly looking, hehe. Anyways...I think my mom got it @ Afterthoughts.

ahh... i have an awesome butterfly chair with a leopard print cover... but i don't have it open anymore, due to lack of space in my room :/ however it was always really comfy when i sat in there to do homework. i should take the damn thing out anyway, even if i don't have room for it...
