Wether it was babysitting or handing out leaflets, tell us about it. Or, if you've never had a job, is there any job you wouldn't mind doing now?

I was a secretaries assistant. I hated it. All I did was stand in a back room and photo copy stuff. It sucked.

I got my first REAL job yesterday!! Yay for me! Nevermind the fact that it's McDonalds *sigh* But yay for me! I've had odd-jobs before...I babysit a LOT and in the summer I keep lawns for people and whatnot, but this is my first job with a uniform and where I'm required to say, "would you like fries with that?" Ugh, I'm getting the mental image now....

My first job was last summer... I was a camp counselor. I worked at the camp I went to for many years. It was fun, but so much work. At times I hated it, at times I loved it. But in the end, I grew so attached to some of the kids, it hurt to end. I'm already signed up to work there for this summer. The pay isn't that great, but it's just the whole experience, ya know?

Congrats theLadyMadonna ;D. Have fun..
My very first job was being a chambermaid-cleaning hotel rooms. Oh god it was hell. I quit after the 2nd day. I couldn't handle my co-workers nor could I handle my boss. They expected me to know what to do, my FIRST day. And then I got yelled at because I was doing things wrong. *Raging* I'm *SO* glad I quit..I couldn't imagine another day there.

My first real job was at a grocery store. I was the HBC-GM [Health & Beauty Care / General Merchandise] stock girl.
It was actually a lot of fun. I got to set up displays and do themes for different holidays, such as Christmas and Back To School and things like that.
The only downside was I had to start at 6:00 am, which meant I had to be up by 4:30 or sometimes 5:00. And then there were those days when I had to work nightshift, and had to start at 2:00 am.
But my manager [boss] was extremely nice. She was only 2 years older than me, so I got along better with her than I would, say somebody middle-aged.
And the only other downfall was that my pay was direct-deposit. Although I guess it was a good thing, since it allowed me to save thousands for college and whatnot. So it wasn't all that bad, now that I look back on it.
I was there for 2 years, but I quit so that I could move to New York [from Pennsylvania]. Otherwise, I would still be there.

I guess you could say that baby-sitting was my first real job. There were several families that I baby-sat for regularly. I'm not going to say that I really enjoyed it, but it's pretty much the only way to make money when you're 13 years old.

My first job was when I was 13... I had to deliver tv-guides. It really sucked. First I had to put all the addresses on the right tv-guides (they had address-stickers), which took about 45 minutes. Then I had to deliver them by bike, which took about three hours. And I had to do that on Wednesday, so I didn't have any time left for homework... and it payed about $7 a week. Ugh. I quit the job after 2 months or something... geez I really hated that job! ~*Esther*~

^^^ Only $7 a day!? That's horrible. You were severely underpaid. It seems like you had to work really hard at it too.
