Does anyone else here write songs besides me? If so, what types of music do you write? Are you in a band? Can you play an istrument? What would you like to pursue in the future?
Me, I want a career in film or music. Its my lifelong dream. Im taking little steps towards this, hopefully something will come out of it.

i sometimes write my own songs. but after a month or two i can never remember how they go. lol. i write either love music or "i wish i were dead" music. it really depends on how i'm feeling. if i were to be in the music industry, i would want to be a manager of a group or something along those lines. i have so many ideas for music videos that i think could make them so much better, but you never know.

For as long as I can remember I've wanted to be a singer. I did infact write a song the other day. Plus two more which I've just decided to call poems. (Then again,I guess alot of poetry could fit in with music)
I would like to learn how to play guitar. I have been in the band *at school* for about 3 years. One year playing trumpet, and two years playing clairinet.
The types of music that I write is,and I'm not going to lie,is more of a Michelle Branch type. I want to learn to write more professionaly and write heavy metal stuff like Kittie.
Kittie has inspired me in so many ways. So I give them credit for inspiring me to write music and tells me that girls can do anything as well as boys . So I give them full credit for what I do.

I write songs. In fact, I have a song lyric thread in Poetry and I write pretty often - whenever I have a strong enough emotion to turn into a song. Most of it is like Avril Lavigne/Michelle Branch/Jewel stuff, but that's OK with me, cuz that's the type of music I listen to. I can play the piano, and a few chords on guitar. But when field hockey season ends, and I actually have spare time, I'm going to buy a used guitar and start taking lessons. I also sing, and I was in chorus all 3 years of middle school, a couple in elementary school, I've had many solos in plays and concerts, and I was in the National Honor Choir this past year. I would love to pursue a career as a singer/songwriter, but I know that there's a very small number of people who make it. But, like SuGarPantieS said, I'm taking small steps towards it...and hopefully someday my dream will come true.

I love music. Performing is my life! Singing-- I did middle school choir for five years. I was president the last year. I got a lot of solos, and I really improved my range, pitch, and volume over the years. I've been taking voice lessons for about a year. I'm not spectactular, but I'd like to think I'm a little above average. I'm planning on doing both choir and an audition-only choir for all four years of high school. I still sing with my middle school choir at various events. Dancing (counts as music!)-- I'm in my 3rd year of Jazz, and first year of Ballet. It's such a beautiful art form, and I wish I had gotten into it sooner. But I'm a fast learner. Acting-- Not really music, but this I've done TONS of. In fact, I was the only freshman to make this years fall production. All other freshmen got cut. (Go me!) I also take lessons every week. I'd like to take up an instrument, although I don't think I have time... I want to play the guitar, the piano, the flute, the violin... I'm a very ambitious girl!
