^^^ They obviously weren't very good friends to begin with. They'll probably end up treating their "popular" friends the same way. You're much better out without them.

i wouldn't trade a best friend for popularity and the people who do are stupid they are gonna dump you like they did to the one that was before you well me my friends are known around but if i was in that situation i would never leave 1 good friend for as many fake friends as they offer me and remember friends are forever ;D

No way! Friends are priceless and popularity isn't real. I wouldn't trade my friends for anything!

I would never do that! I've seen other people do it though. One of my "friends" ditched me to hang out with another girl, who ended up becoming my friend after a while. Then one day the same girl who ditched me before ditched both of us! Of course she swears she doesn't ditch! Just imagine what will happen when we go to high school next year... *sigh*

I don't think anyone deserves to be treated like that. But I also think maybe it would a good lesson if your friend took you for granted. But not the best way to teach it.

no way! I am out of HS now, i dont remember the names of most of the popular people, but i remember the fun/bad/alright times with my friends. Its sad, but some people at my Job (department store) are all about who is "cool" or not.

Never.
A good friend is hard to come by in the first place.
