Spastic, I hate it, too! And I'm never going to have kids, so I really have no use for it! 8) I really hate it. to get by, I wear tampons and try not to think about it. It usually only lasts about 4-5 days, but those 4-5 days are HELL!

Believe it or not, I don't mind getting mine now.
No wait! Before you shake your head in disgust, hear me out.
I've had my period since I was 10 and I've ALWAYS had heavy flows and i've ALWAYS had horrible cramps. Particularly over the past couple years, they've been so bad that I was taking about 12 advil a day (that's not recommended...), I wouldn't eat, I'd wake up in the night with cramps even after taking 3 advil before I went to bed. Anyways, last month my mom finally took me to the doctor and she put me on these pills. Ahhh! It's such a relief! I can actually get out of bed now! And I don't have to wear dark pants for the first three days and I can eat without feeling like I'm going to gag.
So compared to what I used to have to deal with, this is so wonderful.

I get cramps too, but not really bad ones. I just think having it is annoying....and I'm probably due for my next one within a week or so.

I hate them with a passion. I wish they would just go away. I'm just glad it's only one week out of the month!

What? I love my period! They don't call if your "little friend" for nothing. I love the body-numbing cramps, the big pads that feel like diapers, the occasional leak (especially when it comes unexpected!),the moodiness, and the immature comments from guys ("It's that time of the month"). It's the best time of the month, damnit!

ugh I HATE my period. My cramps aren't really all that bad, but they seem to get worse during school hours for some reason . I also get really bad mood swings, which I hate cuz then I'll accidentally lash out at people and it causes fights and everyone thinks I'm mad at them:'(. I haven't tried tampons...are they a big improvement on pads?

^^Yes! Tampons are so much better than pads! You can't even feel'em...it's great. But I still hate my period. I just got it this afternoon during basketball practice. Argh, it's such a pain in the booty! I get cramps in the lower part of my back too...does anyone know a way to relieve this? Thanks.

Thanks for the info, spastic.fruit! Sometimes if you take a really hot bath, it will really help with cramps. I've also heard of using a hot water bottle but I never tried that one! *Edited because RetroChica can't spell!! *
