Well ... I guess I am the second or third guy to respond to this thread ... so here goes ...
I get really messed up when I try to talk to a girl that I like. But when it comes to a girl that I don't like anymore than a friend, it's a piece of cake. But when it comes to asking a girl who I've considered a friend out on a date, I flip out.
Guys get nervous. Some don't, though, they're the freaks. I'd give anything for a girl to make the first move instead of me sometimes. It makes things a helluva lot easier.
With me, and a lot of people I know, you gotta psyche yourself out. It's gotten easier for me, though, since I just look at it this way, "What the hell do I gotta lose?"
That's the best way. Just realize you got nothing to lose. But when it comes to the phone, it's even worse than in person. However, if it is on the Internet, it's the easiest. Because if you are typing something and you realize you should not say it, you have a BACKSPACE button ... if only that was in real life ... ah well ...

Talking on the phone is way worse than talking face-to-face, I agree. It once took me all my courage, half an hour and three tequila shots to phone a crush for the first time, just to find out I had the wrong number ;D

Me....well i can talk to them. But its like i cant think of anyhthing to say. Or i become too matey..as in i tend to treat them as a friend and then u cant come back on urself.
When it comes to asking them out.......argh...panic attack! I'd rather be onstage with KISS, in leather and makeup and not be able to play drums...

Phone is worse...internet is a life saver huh? ahaha..you can type something and if you change your mind you can delete it. Though sometimes since it's the internet you get more confidence in yourself and bring up stuff or say stuff you wouldn't have the guts to say in person--at least for me sometimes.

I'm more of a phone to phone person. When I'm face to face I find it hard to keep a convo going, but I can talk on that phone for hours. And don't even get me started about the net. ;D

I like being face-to-face. Because awkward silences don't seem nearly so bad in person.

Hmmmmm...I have had several crushes. Every one of them didn't like me. None of them liked me and I can't make them so I said F it. Sigh...
