I think they mean that you aren't superficial. What they are basically saying is "Royal_Princess112, I can talk to you about heavy stuff and confide in you" or that you can talk about your worries and stuff. It can mean the both ways. Hope it helps...its hard to explain.

Well, I have been told many times that I am deep. I write poetry, songs, and sincere letters to people, and if someone wants to read them, I let them and usually they'll say, "WOW, that's really deep!" To me, being deep means being able to express your feelings -on paper, in person, over the internet, etc.- very sincerely and taking time to think about how you want to say it. Not just slapping on some crappy, unfelt words. If you're deep, you take time and you find the words in yourself, so that what you just wrote, said, sang, anything...it can be a part of you. Does that make sense? I hope so!

Not to be mean, but more than likely, they're patronizing you.

Ox, that was very inappropriate. Please stop with your patronizing posts.

i think being told that you're "deep" is a good thing. i have been told that and i like being called that. i think it means you're open to new things, people can talk to you openly, you express your feelings in other forms, like writing.

Being deep is like caring about what's under the surface. Being shallow is like caring anly about what you can see, like a person's appearance and social standing. Take it as a huge compliment to be called deep!

Dito to Zona and basically what everyone else said. Except for that rude guest. That was uncalled for.

I get called deep sometimes too. I take it as a compliment. I see it as someone saying that I can see the deeper meanings in things and think about things most other people probably don't. That I'm an abstract thinker. But maybe I'm just taking it too heavily

i was told i was deep. i personally think that you are expressing yourself, whether it be through art, singing, dancing, drawing, writing, (you get the point), you let 100% of your feelings out. if you've had a bad day, you let everyone know through that special talent.
in my personal opinion, if you have enough of a passion for whatever you do, and you put all of you in it, and not hold back, then you can lead to great things.

I get called deep sometimes, whenever I let people see the real me. I definitley take it as a compliment, because the stereotype people seem to have for me is that I'm a "ditzy blonde airhead". Anyways, being deep means you're intellectual, you look beyond the surface, you're not superficial, and you can express your feelings in other ways. For instance...I write songs and I paint, as well as talking to people. But yeah, I consider being deep a compliment because it shows that people admire your intellect and ability to relate and connect. ~ Edited cuz I sounded conceited ~
