They've got some funny ones... but since it seems as though the majority of you on Cloud Nine are Americans, I want to hear some stereotypes you have about Canadians! It's all in good fun.

That you say "Eh" a lot. There's a song by FIF called "Oh Canada!" and it lists a bunch of stereotypes that could be true.

^Really? A lot of people say "Eh". But I've heard people from OTHER countries who use that too... so I don't think it's a Canadian thing.

I don't know, I went to the Simple Plan website, a canadian band (you probably knew that though!) and this one guy, David, has the cutest accent. Aww. Do you have French accents?

That Canadians only listen to Canadian bands.
Uh....what the hell?
We don't.
Also, that we all hate Americans.
And that we all play hockey.
Well, actually i like hockey. BUT THAT IS NOT THE POINT

^I don't listen to only Canadian bands (I listen to everything!). And I don't hate all Americans. And I don't play hockey, but I love watching the sport. So nope, I don't fully fit the stereotypes. I don't know, I went to the Simple Plan website, a canadian band (you probably knew that though!) and this one guy, David, has the cutest accent. Aww. Do you have French accents? Umm ... I don't have a French accent. And most of the people don't. Unless you're from Quebec and a francophone. And neither of those apply to me. So I speak like ... a regular person. I think. Well, if I do have an accent, I am quite unaware of that.

Stereotypes are just that...stereotypes.
I don't listen to any Canadian bands.
I like watching hockey and going to hockey games. Not much of a player here. hehe
Americans can be alright, or they can be total jerks.
The only people here with French accents are some of the people who live in Quebec.

Hey now, there's nothing wrong with saying eh!! And actually, a lot of people outside of Quebec have French accents... like the people in New Brunswick (which is btw the only *officially* bi-lingual province in Canada )! lol!

My neighbor is Canadian. She says there is a light, joking hostility between the French Canadians and the British Canadians. And she says ``eh" sometimes, too, even though she swears no Canadians really say that. LOOK, A MAPLE SYRUP CARRYING MOOSE Kidding.

Now, I know stereotypes are silly and mostly untrue, but a lot of Canadians that I know fit them.

^^ Um, hating almost all American's and hateing Bush are two totally different things since a lot of Americans hate Bush these days....
This is kinda off topic but I thought it was funny anyways.... I was watching this comedy talk show thing and and the host (an american) had a Canadian comdian on the show, and the host goes "Ya know we Americans have thought of Canada as our hat" and the Canadian goes " We Canadians have thought of America as our diaper" I don't know it just made me laugh.....
