How do you incorporate originality into your wardrobe/style?

I use accessories to make my look original.
My actual clothing doesn't look different than anyone else... I go for what I like to call "stylish comfort," which usually consists of flare leg jeans, a fitted t-shirt from Aeropostale, Pacific Sunwear, or someplace of the sort, and Vans sneakers.
I wear noticable jewelry, like hemp or puka shell necklaces, funky watches, and small things like that. My purse is covered with various pins, and it makes me stand out a little. I can still follow the trends without looking like everyone else.

For me I usually take one shirt and put it over another shirt. It gives it a kind of kewl look. Also sometimes i take a shirt or pants and cut them in various ways (or make them into tank tops instead of long seelve ect) and orput safety pins on them. KIt kind of gives it your own special touch. Also with my nails i dont just make them black i have black with gold polka dots.

^^^Just because you don't look like everyone else, does NOT mean that you look funny...ugh. Originality is a very important thing!

My jewellery and accessories usually do the trick. Cute and sometimes elaborate jewellery teamed with really simple clothes is quite chic Little things like painting my nails different colours, hair highlights, different earrings (one of my favourites. My friends think I'm bonkers. Hmmmph, so much for imagination), hair beads, hair clips... Other than that, I do my hair in different ways. One of the advantages of long hair... I don't have the problem of everyone wearing my clothes or knowing where I got them from cos I shop in Sri Lanka and Oman, in addition to the clothes I get from relations and friends around the world ;D Most of my formal wear and evening dresses are tailored. I choose the designs and fabrics so I'm pretty confident my clothes are one of a kind

My jewelry usually. I make all my jewelry, so no one else will have the same stuff I do. I go to thrift stores too, to find some funky stuff that I know no one else will have. I do some weird make-up sometimes too.

I buy my clothes at thrift stores and vintage places.... I also make some of them. I wear kid's jewellery sometimes and I have tons of funky shoes. But the most original thing I have is my glasses - I ahev 4 pairs, 3 of them are those big cat's eyes ones from the 1950s. they're so much fun!

I also use jewelry to make a statement. Usually, I just wear large, funky, silver bracelets and rings. By far, my favourite is my large, square, silver bracelet. Its a one of a kind. Also, I wear 'fun' shoes, which I use for originality.

How is my wardrobe original? Well, basically, it just consists of everything I'd like. I would never wear something just to fit in, and I'd never avoid wearing something just because it was trendy. If I think an article of clothing looks good, I'll wear it. I really could care less what anyone else thinks. They're my clothes, so it doesn't bother me if other people don't like them.

I love to draw attention to my clothes and stuff, so I'll try to personalize them. I had safety pins on my jeans, but *someone* took them off. I suspect it was my mom, even though she denies it, because she hated it. She hates everything that I like. She hates oringinality. So I just quit trying to be different if that's what she wants. It doesn't matter to me anymore.
Although, if she would loosen up, I would go safety pin crazy. *sighs deeply* Maybe stud-crazy...patch-crazy...paint-crazy...*sighs again*
I'll get real now.
