I'm kind of embarrassed...lol. But, I have this problem with sweating. I take showers daily and put on deoderant more than once a day I'm clean and everything and I don't smell. But, my armpits sweat a lot and it drives me crazy! Even when I'm not hot. It goes through my shirts and everything, it's gross. So I just wear sweatshirts all the time. Any suggestions on helping this problem? Thank you guys so much!

Yes... I'm slightly in the same situation as spastic. No matter how much deoderent I put on I always have a thicker than what I assume is normal film of sweat on my armpits. It just shows up! And stays! I take a bath or shower everyday. So, yes, what type of wonderful deoderent do you speak of person that posted?

*Relieved* I'm not the only one w/this problem? I know what you guys mean. I shower every day. Put on deoderant and all that. But no matter what, even if I'm freezing- I sweat. I even use men deoderant. I wanna go to the doctors and ask if there is anything that'll reduce it- but my mom says that it's not a big deal..*cough* ya mom, sure.

I'm the same way. Do any of your feet and hands sweat a lot? I've tried different kinds of deoderant but nothing worksvery well. I too want to go to the doctor but my mom won't take me. What helps me a little (as in little spots under the arms instead of all over the shirt) is to get the strongest deoderant you can find, put it on in the morning, at night, and as needed during the day, and try to avoid getting too hot or too cold (the shivering and trying to keep warm can make your body product excess sweat). There was a razz thread on this, the official name is hyperhydrosis. Lemme link to the thread. razzberry.chickclick.com/message.asp?topic=5235280&start=5624500

It's so nice to know I don't suffer alone!
*group hug*
Yep, I have a bit of a problem....There are certain colours of shirts I can't wear because I know you'll just be able to see it. Uck, it's so gross. Like after gym class, I don't lift my arms because I'm still prespiring from running and whatnot. It feels really icky. I've started wearing men's deoderant because it makes a slight difference, but not much.

My sister has the same problem and apparantly she went to the doctor and they prescribed this special deodorant. It's weird cause you have to wear it at night and stuff.. and it gets all over your clothes but she doesn't really sweat that much anymore so it's helped.

Thanks for all your help and support.
What kind of men's deodorant do you think I should try? I'm going to try that before I ask my mom about going to the doctors. ;D

Supposedly a deodorant should also have an antipersperant. I think it stops sweating, while deodorants just stop body odor. You could try going to the doctor. He may even recommend an over-the-counter brand that works.

I used to sweat a whole lot before, but I started using an anti perspirant and I'm waaaay better than I used to be. It's nothing special. Just off the shelf (or over the counter, which ever way you want it to be ). I use Fa, but I don't know if it's available over there. I prefer the white kind, and roll-on... not aerosol.

I used to have the same exact problem that you had. Excessive sweating - armpits, back, hands, and feet for me. I went to a physican and they recommended me an over the counter drug called Certain Dri. You can find it at any pharmacy .It's a roll on antipersitant (sp?) and you're suppose to put it on at night (warning: does bleach your clothes). I stopped using it because everytime I sweat I got this prickling sensation and it really bothered me, BUT it did stop me from sweating. I decided to go to a dermatologist because they specialize (sp?) in skin and they prescribed me a drug called xerac AC. Every other night I'm suppose to apply it to where I sweat; it also bleaches your clothes but it does stop me excessive sweating.
If any of you guys get those nasty sweat stains on your light colored shirts. Here's a remedy to get rid of them.
To banish old perspiration stains, place the stain facedown on top of a clean paper towel and put white vinegar on the stain. USe a squirt bottle or large sponge to apply the vinegar. Wait a couple of minutes and rinse thorougly. Whatever you do, DON'T TOUCH these stains with your fingers - the oil from your hands will make them worse.
Next, rub some liquid laundry detergent on to the stain while the fabric is still damp. Then wash the clothing in the hottest water POSSIBLE for that fabric type. You may have to repeat the whole process again after the first wash, but just don't put clothing in the dryer until the stains are gone, because dryers only make the stain set more.
