SpanishCandy, do you actually shop at these stores that sell the brands that aren't 'cheap?'
I don't really like overrated store. Ones that endorse in brands. But there are some brands that make good quality items for a reasonable price, like Ocean & Ice (Roxy makes the cutest outfits), Jay-Jays, and Glassons.
I'm not really into brands, but more so the quality of the clothing they sell. I'd rather buy a cute $5 top than an ugly overpriced Gucci item.
Places like Christies and Zebrax surpsingly make sales, considering the cheap items they make and the price they're charged. I don't really like shopping at them.

American Eagle- too expensive, the stuff there is so unoriginal and everyone looks like clones. id choose A&F over AE. Old Navy- yeh, they have very plain and basic stuff, i call them "staples" for an outfit. but its very cheaply made and gets nasty after a few washes. Guess- too expensive, only have small sizes. i tried on a long-sleeved shirt there and couldnt get my arms in! and im not overweight or anything either...im normal. those are the stores that get on my nerves the most..i rarely buy in those kind of stores...i shop in thirft stores and little chinese boutiques!

Aw guys, I love The Body Shop and Rave! I agree with Abercrombie and Fitch though, if I had $80 to spend it wouldn't be on a damn t-shirt...
Gadzooks has some nice stuff, but there's too much Playboy stuff in there, and call me crazy, but why would ANYONE with any sense of...anything, go in there and buy a tshirt that practically tells people you are a...I don't know. I don't want to offend anyone, but the Playboy thing is so evil. *shudders* So, so evil.

I like Rave a lot, too, I don't quite understand what people have against it. I've heard people (or read, whichever.) say stuff they get there falls apart as soon as they wash it, but I've never had that problem with anything I've bought there. It's all still intact. I don't go in there often because it's not in the mall in my city, but I've never noticed a smell, either. Oh, anyways. I don't like Hollister, American Eagle, or Aeropostle. (I don't like stuff with logos or brand names all over it, and that's all you find in those stores. I still don't like Pacific Sunwear much, either, but I think I'm the only person in the world that doesn't.

^^^ I don't like Pacific Sunwear either. I think their clothes are ugly and overpriced. It's not quite as bad as A&F, though.

i don't really hate the STORES, i just hate the CLOTHES. i mean, in all of the stores i've been into, they either have granny-inspired clothes or Britney-inspired clothes...nothing original. i hate it! *ugh* i just can't wait 'till some new fashion trend comes in (& hopefully i'll like it).

I don't like PacSun either, seeing as how I live in Illinois and all these girls who have never been out of the state are wearing "Roxy Surfer Girl" shirts. Err, no. I don't like Abercrombie either because it's too expensive to have very many clothes, if I bought their pants (50$ per jeans and capris and shorts) I'd probably get one pair of jeans and one pair of capris and one pair of shorts. Thankyouverymuch, but they're not worth all that money!

Rave ~ Ugh. That's the only word I can think of to describe this place. All their clothes seem to be really revealing and slutty, and very poorly made. I bought a pair of pajamas there, and they fell apart after one wearing. Also, the people that work there are really rude and snobbish...although that may only be in my case. Limited Too ~ Well, I *used* to like this place, a couple years ago. I just liked the plain tees, but now I won't even set foot in there, for fear of being blinded by the "totally trendy new supersparkly cool flares!" or the 10 ft high life sized poster of whatever new skanky pop star is endorsing their line now. But...guys? I really like Old Navy. I get a lot of clothes there...maybe it's cuz the Old Navy by me has a really good variety. And I've never noticed a smell either.

You know what I've always found ironic? A lot of the people that shop at Hot Topic complain about the prices of Abercrombie & Fitch clothes. Yet Hot Topic sells band t-shirts for $20, when it probably costs about $2 to make them. Hmm... can we say "hypocracy"?

Umm a t-shirt for $20 isn't uncommon.. and that goes for every store in the mall. The t-shirt probably takes $2 to make, and retail for $20. So if you shop in any store in the Mall, but don't like the prices at A&F which is even MORE than that, does that make you a hypocrite? If so, then the majority of people in the Mall are hypocrites.
I saw a t-shirt at Abercrombie for $50 one day, that's a far cry from $20 at Hot Topic or any other store in the Mall.

^^^ $50 for a t-shirt?! Geez, that's insane. And they can jack up the price just because it has "A&F" printed on it. I wasn't aware that their clothes were *that* expensive. I've heard people say that most of their shirts are around $20, which isn't much more than most places.
I still think Hot Topic is overpriced. Most of their jeans are about $50. And I think A&F's jeans are about the same price. I would never pay that much for a pair of pants, especially when I can get jeans on sale at any department store for about $20.
Also, I bought this pixie shirt at a local department store for $7 (on sale, obviously) a couple months ago. I was in Hot Topic and saw the exact same thing for $20. And they never put stuff on sale, only clearance. Can we say "rip-off"?

Abercrombie DOES not sell shirts that cost 50 bucks !!
Shirts may cost at the max 20 buck including tax !! Maybe a sweater every now and then, may cost $30.
the most expensive thing in that store I've ever seen was 60 dollars ! And those were genuine SUEDE pants !!
If Abercrombie was as expensive as ya'll think, than not as many people would wear it!!

There has never been a graphic tee in Abercrombie for 50$. Most graphic tees are $24.50, which is average. Most knits are anywhere from 29.50-39.50. Most wool sweaters in there are anywhere from 39.50-69.50...but most are around 49.50. Jeans are anywhere from 39.50-59.50...I'm just saying this all to clarify up a few misunderstandings...and yes, Hot Topic is expensive as well...I went in there once and found a pair of wide leg pants with these stripes down the sides and they were like $65.

On abercrombie.com a raglan-sleeve cotton 3/4 sleeve shirt is $30. Um, that's a total rip, seeing as its high point is "abercrombie and fitch" advertised in faded writing on the front. That's a little bit expensive, doncha think?
I don't like any stores that smell weird.
