taking one look at me most people realize that i dress simply to impress myself, because i dont think there is anyone else out there that would be impressed by it..lol
today for instance, i had on jeans and belt, a ninja shirt that i got for two dollars, a nerd sweater, a hulk hugan pin, a crap load of jewlery, and my awesome new thrift store bag. and you know what.. i felt great sure some people turn their noses down on me those "label children" as it was put before, but that just makes me want to strut my stuff even more.
i personally am just not good with dresses. i feel naked-ish, i just need a crouch to my clothing..lol

I dress in jeans and a shirt every day, but I do wear cords and I do own a pair of fitted no-pocket pants, but I only bought them because they were red which is the second best color in the world! For me, I don't mind wearing jeans and a shirt every day because the highlight is my shoes! I love shoes, I can't be bothered with the rest of my outfit as long as it doesn't clash.

As a person whose mind works in weird, creative ways, I see style as yet another way to express myself. Yeah, it's true that it's just clothes, but like it or not, the first thing people notice about you is your appearance. Why not send a message with what you're wearing? The human mind automatically makes assumptions on a person based on what they're wearing, whether you're conscious of it or not - our brain is built to put things in "categories", if you will.
My style has taken a turn to the bohemian, vintage hippie look. Not because it's a massive trend, but because I like the free-spiritedness that the clothes symbolize. I love my bell sleeved peasant shirts, my jeans with crocheted accents, my LovePeaceLife shirt. The 60's and 70's were a time of creativity, change, and discovery, which is a constant vibe in my life.
That said, I would never wear anything uncomfortable or overly revealing. Yeah, some of my shirts are low and some are short, but it's nothing that would classify me as a hooch. My religion (Christianity) plays a role in the way I dress...valuing purity means dressing relatively modestly. I'm happiest in my boots, jeans and a cool top.
So basically, I dress for myself, and to present sort of a summary of "me" to the world. My friends classify my style as "hippie rock star" and that's totally fine with me. Fashion is something to have fun with, to experiment with, and to express yourself with, and that's exactly what I do.

My style, is usually really glittery or raw. I like things that are pink, or baby blue. Then again, I like black things as well (but I have dandruff so that doesnt work too well hehe)... ~Steph

Lol, but for real you took the words outta my mouth, cause that's exactly how I feel. I don't know what my style is lol but if you go to the "What You Want" thread on the style section, you can get a taste of the stuff I'm into, and that's basically my style. I rarely wear sneakers or flat sandals, cause it's just not me, I love heels.
