The society we live in refers to God as a man and always has. It comes from the Christianity, Islam and Judaism (not really sure so pls dont shoot me..). Its possibly that humanity needs a father to sort of be like a watcher over them. Its more psychological that way. But it might not be. Either way, most religions only use 'Him' in a symbolic way. Unfortunately sometimes it because women were considered the weaker sex. Islam clearly staes that God is neither man nor woman, but above all that. I believe that God is God, hey he can be whatever. He is the ultimate. He is God for crying out loud! Silly thigns like these dont apply to him. 'Seek not God in shape or form, Seek him thus in spirit and virtue' ...actually i say that
