Does anyone know what this song is? I heard it on the radio the other way, and although I'm not Christian I liked the beat: "Jesus is just alright with me, Jesus is just alright with me, Jesus is just alright with me..." Any ideas? Its a fast rock beat if that helps.

<<"Jesus is just alright with me, Jesus is just alright with me, Jesus is just alright with me..." >>
" . . . I don't care what they may say. I don't care what they may do. Jesus is just all right with me. Oh yeahhh! . . ."
That one? That's by the classic 70's rock group, The Doobie Brothers.

Hi 80's Child and Larigirl. A little off topic, but you've heard the Doobies before. Dumb name, great band. There was an ad for a car on TV and radio, and you might remember a song in the background.
"Takin' to the streets, Takin' it to the, Takin' it to the streets. Takin' it to the,' Takin' it to the streets." That's them too.
Didj'a hear this, if there's a song going through your head and it's driving you nuts, apparently if you start singing or putting the words to Amazing Grace to it, that will cancel out the song. Hmmm.

still off topic - i've always found that singing "it's a small world" always erases a song from my mind.
anyways - back to the topic (sorta) that song we were talking about - Jesus is just alright - (or whatever it's actually called) ..... it's also on dc Talk's cd Intermission: The Greatest Hits.

I dont know what its called but I love it:
Over the moutains and the sea, Your River runs with love for me, And I will open up my heart, And let the healer set me free,
I'm happy to be in the truth, And I will daily lift my hands, For I will always sing Of when your love came down.
I could sing of your love forever (repeat x4)
Oh, I feel like dancing It's foolishness I know, But when the world has seen the light, They will dance with joy, Like their dancing now,
(chorus)

^ It's called "I could sing if your love forever" and it's by delirious. It's on their worship cd, "Cutting Edge". They're a British band and they're one of the best worship bands out their. (it's a double cd by the way)

I like the one that goes, "Yes Lord, yes Lord, yes yes Lord. Yes Lord, yes, Lord, yes yes Lord." Very catchy.
I saw a Christian band this weekend that played some great songs, they put Christian words to some Beatles tunes and Collective Soul's "Shine." They changed it to "Lord, let Your Light shine down." The best part is when the guitarist took of with some awesome riffs in the middle.

Awsome God. I'm trying to find the lyrics fo it. but all lyrics sites i go to can only seem to have anything but Christian Music. And I forgot the guy's name (I *think* it's Rich Mullins;I can only remember the last name : So I can't put the lyrics..but yeah, that's what it's called...... BTW,I looked over this last page, and alot of those songs are songs we sing at my church. ;D cool. I like really any song though. Awsome God is my fav. though. The only (Christian) song I can't stand, and that sometimes makes me cry is 'I can only imagine' cause it makes me think of dying and no one knows what is going to happen when you die so you can only imagine it. I know some of the words, they are:: I can only imagine What it will be like I don't know...I can't really think now >tired< ....And I'll probably start crying if I keep putting those lyrics.
