Just to let ya know, I'm praying for you, Nikki and LilMissStrawberry. And to LilMissStrawberry, I've heard about that book but never read it. Are you reading it right now? If you are, would you possibly give us a review of it when you're done? That would be awesome! Something really cool happened to me the other day. For a while I've been thinking of quitting my church small group because, while I love all the girls, it's gotten clique-ish and I wasn't getting anything out of it except a migraine, much less growing in my walk with God. So I told my two leaders that, and they sort of freaked out a little. Sue, the adult leader, invited me to coffee the other night, and we talked and she said the reason her and Catherina had been worried about me leaving was because they wanted me to be a student leader next year. At our church, the way high school student leadership works is that you have two student leaders who basically run the small group of their own age group. This system starts from grade 10 and up, so that would mean that next year I'd be leading my sophomore group as a sophomore. Our church really focuses on Christian peer connection and student leadership, so I'd be reading announcements, taking the initiative in studies and activities, calling the girls, etc. This whole thing is a huge honor...only 2 students from each freshman small group gets this opportunity...I'm very excited. I'm on high school ministry team, and I've wanted to be a leader for a while, but I thought I had to be at least a senior in high school. My pastor also thinks I'd be a good student leader...so I'm wayyyyy happy and excited. God works in such amazing, wonderful ways, and I'm incredibly thankful to Him for giving me this opportunity.

Hey ^^^ Wow, Lost.In.The.Song, I think it's really cool the way God works, and the way he has everything planned out I'm finding that in my own life. As for the Purpose Driven Life, yes I will do a review for you. It's a 40 day journey and I'm on day 9. So far, it's fantastic, really really good. At the moment the best thing is the way it makes me think and somehow connects with my life; the questions/point to ponder at the end of each day always give me something to think about and it's really interesting and helpful. I've been thinking more about my purpose, and have been really realising and believing that God put me here for a reason and that he loves me. But when I've finished (31 days time, lol) I'll give a more concise review. But definately worth getting Thanks for the prayers

^^^ I'm gonna look into that book next time I go to the library/book store Humdedum, I have alot of prayer requests... Number one is for my good freind Tyler's dad. He was in a serious car accident yesterday and ended up getting alot of stitches, breaking both of his legs, a couple ribs and one of his arms...so thank the Lord he's alive and help him through his recovery and the financial problems that will come w/the hospitol/testing/accident. Number two is for my mom. On the 9th it'll be one year since her best freind died from cancer. It really tore her up last year even though we know that she was out of her pain and in a much much better place. So ya, just comforting for my mom was she mourns Annie's death. Number three is for my grandpa. He has enphasima *sp?* from smoking so many years...and is slowly making his way to the end of the road. I dont really know where he will be after he dies...which scares me...so that somehow he see's the Lord in me sometime soon so I can be w/him in heaven some day. Number four is for my brother who is fighting in the middle east right now. And for all the troops in the middle east. That God give them peace and safety. And I guess not only for them but also for their families and for the Iraqii people. Number five is for my dad. He's having a rough time w/ everything thats going on right now. With his only son fighting in the war, with his dad dieing and struggling with high cholestoral (being told by the doctors that you should already be dead from a heart attack hits ya hard) So ya...for him. Thanx

wow, I was looking back through this thread, and I haven't posted since October 1st. I've already explained this to One Big Rush, but my computer got messed up, so we got a new one, and then the old one didn't have the internet, and I didn't know the URL to this board, so until a couple weeks ago I couldn't get on it. I've missed it so much! Particularly this thread. So what is new with everyone!?!? Is SideKick still here? Because I haven't talked to her in so long! Well, just wanted to let you know I'm back! (if anyone remembers me...)

For those of you who know me, I've had some trouble with God in the past. Now, I can proudly shout to all that I believe and have love for my Father.
He loves me for who I am-- Not the way I behave nor the way I dress. He does no judgin in His children.
May God Bless All.
