I suppose the biggest news around here now-a-days is that the Cloud Nine Community is now under 'old' management. As many of the veteran members know, there was some mishaps that took place in the past, power shifts, and what not else. Hopefully, these have all been taken care of. I do want to update everyone on some of the most important things I've decided with the re-opening of the Cloud Nine Community.
New Administration
In the past CNC had a very large number of moderators, and most of these became defunct over the past few years. The same is true of the two co-administrators. So, what does this mean? It means that all former staff have lost their position with CNC, due to their inactivity. The staff will be replaced over time, as needed, with global moderators.
Posting Incentives Completed. (Nov. 02, 2005)
Within the next few months, I hope to begin some type of incentive system to support board activity. Ideas I have in mind are giving out prizes for such things as graphic design contests, t-shirt design contests, etc.
Colors
I had some personal issues with these colors in the past, though the majority of other members have seemed to like them. Taking these two factors in consideration, a new feature will be implemented on our forums. The default colors will change, no doubt; however, if you still do wish to use the current colors you will be able to do so by selecting an option in your profile settings.
Forum Navigation Completed. (Nov. 02, 2005)
Sadly, it seems as if CNC is lacking behind our competitors out there. We need to work on board navigation, big time. The huge of different boards that members are presented with upon login is simply overwhelming. All the boards will remain up, just some navigation will be changed. I promise it'll be much easier to navigate, so don't upset yet. (at least give it a chance)
Ad-Free
I would also like to see CNC go ad-free for registered members within the next few months. This will happen once I can gather up the funds to make the payment.
The 'Completed' statments above don't mean something is actually finished with and will never be done again. It just means that something has been worked out. All of the fields above will always be work in progress.
