I use it because I get b!tchy & depressed if I dont. It helps me get away from real life & the high is good. Its not too intense like other drugs, its something I can live with. Yes I am aware of the pros and cons but its not crack or heroin. Its just pot. I do it mainly everyday, at least 1-10 times.

I think decriminalizing it would be okay. I don't know, I don't care too much about people doing it. But people have to address that it might become a problem... like, there are so many things about drinking and driving. What about smoking up and driving? That can't be safe either. I used to want to try it, but I don't want to anymore. Sure, you get some sort of high... but so what? I don't need it. What's the point of messing my mind up for a smoke?

Ack! I don't even smoke anymore....I don't need to have fun or to be happy. What's the point? See, I'm nice and happy without messing myself up --->

I have never tried it (and never will). I can't even stand the smell of the smoke...I almost threw up when I smelled it the other day.

Spastic, that's great that you quit smoking!
I have never tried pot and I never will. I have heard a lot of "You can't dismiss it if you haven't tried it; you can't possibly understand what it's like" and I guess I never will, and I'm okay with that.

I've tried it a few times, but I didn't really like it. It didn't have much of an effect on me, and I am *not* ruining my lungs trying to inhale that stuff, its pretty nasty really. Plus I don't want to end up a burnout either... (not saying that *all* people who smoke up are burnouts, but quite a few are)

I've never tried smoking Marijuana, and never will. Marijuana, in my opinion, is really crazy. Why would you want to get high? It isn't gonna make things better. Plus it kills braincells, and can ruin your lungs.

I indulge occasionally. I don't really know how to describe what it does for me. It's just relaxing sometimes, unless you know what I'm talking about you won't understand it's just one of those things you have to experience. I'm not a pothead, I used to be at a point. I don't turn to it because I'm depressed or I can't have fun without it, I think that weed and I have a perfectly healthy relationship, I do it maybe once a month or so. Yeah that's my take on marijuana.

I've tried marijuana a few times before. I used to be *so* anti-drug, but now that I've given it a go, it's not all that bad. I don't do it every day, or even once a week, more like once every few months or so. And I never toke more than I can handle (yes, that's toke, not take). Personally, I feel way more out of control after consuming alcohol than consuming weed, and alcohol is legal. Random fact: Did you know that the likelihood of one having a car accident on weed is the same as having one after taking a normal dose of cough syrup? Now, how many more accidents are caused by alcohol? Think about it...

Still haven't tried marijuana, still never will. There was a time...like in May that I considered it but then reconsidered and am very happy I did. Most of my friends have at least tried marijuana, and a lot of them are full blown pot heads and I don't really see the upside of it. All I see it doing is making my friends cough and broke. Is it really worth the feeling it's supposed to give you? As for legalizing it, I say it should be ok for medical purposes but not for regular use. I've seen pot turn a lot of my friends onto harder stuff, mostly crank and tweak. A good friend of mine went to rehab at the age of 17. Once she got back out she was sober for maybe a month. She's now smoking pot regularly again and I fear will eventually go back to crank and opium, etc. I just don't see how the 'high' is worth all the pain it causes.

Only just a few months ago I was massively anti-drug. I swore up and down that I would never even try pot because my best friend went to rehab at 17 (same girl Nova's talking about). But in April I gave it a try. My first time I didn't get high, just a bit of a headache. The next night I did it again and got so messed up I swore I'd never do it again because I don't like the feeling of not being in control of myself. That didn't last I started again in July. I'm not by any means a pot head, tho many of my friends are. I just smoke every once and a while (like once every couple of weeks).
I completely think that it should be legalized for both medical and recreational. Alcohol is more dangerous then pot is. Yes, pot can be said to be a 'gate-way' drug to other harder drugs but that's gonna happen whether it's legal or not. I think legalizing it would be good for many reasons. One being the police might turn their attention to something more important then busting a kid with pot.

This thread is just standing on the borderline of a big fat TOS violation. I'm not willing to take the chance, so, I will be locking this topic.
