unfortunately, there's not much you can do to change genetic traits, but you can make the best of what you have. Try toning exercises for your legs, like squats and leg lifts and stuff like that, and stretching, and do about 30-40 minutes of cardio 4 or 5 times a week and eat right. That's about all you can do. You'll feel great though!

I'm sure your thighs aren't all that bad. If you want them to be more toned, you could try doing squat exercises. Also, running and biking would probably work. They burn fat and build muscle.

Actually, rollerblading is AWESOME for your legs! You can do lots of exercises like leg lifts, squats, etc to tone your thighs, and it would help to do cardio too to lose that layer of fat. No matter how toned your muscles are, they'll never show if they're covered by fat But activities like running, rollerblading, etc tone them and are good cardio. ;D

You say genetics gave you those legs ? You want tone ! Well when your white, its harder to get muscle tone! I'm not trying to be mean in anyway - theres been studies done. It's easier for african-americans to get muscle tone because for years our ancestors worked in fields buidling their muscles ! And over such a long period of time it became genetic. Since white women didn't do much back then, it's become genetic for them not to obtain muscles mass as easily as other cultures !!

^^^ why would you automatically assume that she is white? your theory of "obtaining white muscle tone" keeps me very skeptic. where exactly are you getting this information?

I find your theory is a little skeptical. Racial descent may cause different genetics, but it's unlikely that what our ancestors did once upon a time will alter physical features as much. It may be a good idea to provide some sources to support your statements. This is the first time I've heard such a thing, and it may be easier to believe if I was given evidence from a reliable source.
Back on topic, iNsAnE.cAnAdIaN, exercises such as lunges and bends are effective, because they build muscle as well as toning. Using dumbbells will hurry effects, but only use them when you are ready.

I don't know where you got this information from, but your theory is flawed. Physical aspects do not "become" genetic. As you said, black women worked hard, and that's how their leg muscles were developed. That physical feature was obtained by strength-training, which is not passed on to offspring. Also, when you say that black women worked in fields, are you referring to the plantation farms that slaves worked in prior to the Civil War? If so, then your theory would be impossible. It takes much longer than a century for evolution like that to happen. I suggest you do some research on Darwin's theory of evolution before you make such assumptions.

This is not 'racism,' this is simply pointing out (a) flaw/s in your 'theory.'
Also, it may help if you had some sufficent proof of these 'researches.' You can't expect us to swallow everything we're fed.

It has nothing to do with "belief". What you said completely goes against Darwin's theory of evolution, which is now accepted as a fact. Your theory makes no sense, and you don't have any facts to back it up.

Running, walking and jogging are all great ways to tone and define your legs.

Sadly, the thigh area is the hardest part to tone. One thing that is very effective is leg lifts, but if they aren't enough of a challenge on your muscles, try doing them with your knees bent, believe it or not, it adds resistance. Also you can pick up one of those little machines called "the thigh toner". They're just two poles that are bent at the top and covered with foam and attached together. They work wonders because you have to use strength to use them and they'll give you muscle tone fairly quickly if you're diligent enough.
