My friend told me once that its better 2 do crunchers then sit ups cuz crunchers make ur stomacht toned faster. then she told me if u do crunchers ur stomache will get wider sooo tell me please is all this true??? cuz i wanna get my stomache in shape but i dont know what 2 do cuz i dont wanna get wide so please pm me w/ help

I doubt it. Either one will tone the muscles - making them tighter and more defined, but not necessarily much bigger.

If you do them wrong they will make your stomach muscles bulk up rather than get toned. Also, overdoing it will make you thicker as opposed to more toned. Just make sure you have good form and don't go overboard and you'll be fine. And don't forget about the cardio!

They do make your stomach muscles bulge out a little more; but it will not get you fat. It's still toning your muscles. I don't think sit-ups and crunches are the best way to go, though....if you're looking to get a more *slim* type of tone, that is.

They both work just great.But it also depends how you do it, you have to do it the right way in order to see results.Make sure your neck is straight and that you are not straining it.

If you push out your stomach rather then sucking it in when you're doing them then yes, you will get kind of bulgy stomach muscles... suck your tummy in when you do them and you will get the slimmer yet toned type of look.
