Ok, the season is coming fast, and very soon. Talk about your favorite teams and who you think will (or want to) win the Stanley Cup!
Personally, I am rooting for my Red Wings (yet again). I'm looking forward to seeing Fedorov on the ice again, too. Especially now that Yzerman is going to be out for a good part of the season... It'll be good for Sergei. He seems to thrive when Yzerman's away. ;D

[glow=red,2,300]GO WINGS![/glow] As usual I haven't been following it lately, so no comments as of yet about players and such. Though I do hope Stevie comes back soon! We'll see how the coaching goes without Scotty, God bless him. The Wings are playing the Leafs on Sept. 24. Should be interesting. Only an exhibition though...

I must admit I'm only a posuer. I get into the Red Wings only when they're kicking some ice around May or June. But they are Detroit's best team.

I hope the Hurricanes can do as well as they did last season. I know that a lot of the players are getting old, so they most likely won't do as well as last year, but I can hope anyway. ;D

^^ Age has nothing to do with it. Look at the Red Wings. The average age is, I believe what I saw quoted, was about 38, and they won the Stanley Cup last year! Age = experience, and that's a good thing... (Reread last sentence... I wonder if that's true for all things )

Tonight is the Home Opener for the Detroit Red Wings at the Joe Louis Arena. One more showing of Lord Stanley too. We may as well keep it since we're going to win it again.

I like to watch Hockey on TV sometimes, though, I'm like completley lost about the Stanley Cup. What is it?

*sigh* I wandered in here on the off chance that I would be able to ramble on about the fine points of field hockey. But now I see everyone is discussing ice hockey. I don't watch too much hockey, although a few of my guy friends play and are pretty good, from what I've seen. I also hear that San Diego's team, which is where I'm from is pretty good. Yay, we finally have a good sports team, although I do admit I become obsessed with the Padres during baseball season. All right, carry on.

LEAFS! I will always love the Leafs, no matter what. We are the TRUE hockey city. ;D But truthfully, we've started out pretty crappy so far. I'm sure things will head in the right direction once Belfour gets back from his infected thumb (which is tomorrow night I think - Hockey Night in Canda!). I still miss Cujo though.

<<about the Stanley Cup. What is it?>> It's a large trophy that's about 100 years old. It is a testament to whomever team wins it as to their work and skill. The Detroit Redwings have won it more consecutive times than any other team. <<I will always love the Leafs, no matter what. We are the TRUE hockey city.>> You may have to defect and move to DEE-Troit since we are of course, HOCKEY TOWN. Purple octopus anyone? Just heard a great expression over the weekend. "He's / She's / I'm / busier than a Canadien goalie playing against the Redwings."

Leafs or Habs. One or the other. Can't decide.Well ya know we have a saying here in Detroit. "He's busier than a Canadian goalie playing against the Red Wings." And true to form the Red Wings have won seven out of eight games so far!

I still can't believe it. I have been in mourning since Wednesday, April 16th. My wonderful Red Wings LOST to the firken Anaheim Mighty Ducks. THE DUCKS! I still can't believe it. Now there's talk of them trading Fedorov, my favorite player, which they better not do because that guy is one of, if not THE, best player(s) on the team... <sigh> Oh well. There's always next year. This year, Giguere was just too damn good for the Wings as a whole. DRW should take a look at that dude, dump Cujo. Sorry, Cuj. It's not all you, but Giguere was just... GOOD. Off to mourn some more...

Apologies for my last post. The Redwings blew it within the week, hey they got rid of all their best players and the rest quit. Federov is one of the few left but he can't carry the team. No Hockeytowm Fever this summer.
