YAY! You made it!!! Thanks, Nic! This is such an awesome idea. Unfortunetly, my physical therapist says I can only run three times a week (stupid knee) now, so the rest of the time I have to make do with riding my bike and swimming. Hmmph. Anyways, I guess I'll record my last run here, even though I never time myself...it makes me feel like I'm taking the enjoyment out of it. But that's just me. I like to just run to clear my mind and energize myself. So... DATE: 08/13/02 DISTANCE: 3 miles TIME: n/a OTHER DETAILS: I loved it, of course, but when I got back, even though I actually wore my knee brace for once, my knee was killing me. Blah. Anyways, I wrote a song while I was running! It just sorta came to me. It was cool. I hope that's the kind of details you meant, lol.

DATE: 08/15/02 DISTANCE: 3 miles/4.8 km TIME: n/a OTHER DETAILS: I ran with my friend Kim from her mom's house to her dad's. MAN there's a lot of hills in her neighborhood!!! And...shh...don't tell the physical therapist this is my 4th run this week, I'm only supposed to run 3 times. Overall, it was a good run, one of my best in a while, and Kim's so fun to run with.

Hey! Sorry I haven't posted in such a long time.... I've been super busy. And my ankles and knees were fuckin killing me everytime I tried to run. So, I have a pair of New Balance runners on hold at sport chek, i'm planning to pick them up within the next two days so I can run properly.
Date: 08/16/02 Distance: 3.5 km/2.2 miles Time: I don't time either! Other Details: Well, my legs hurt like hell so I barely went anywhere. I could barely walk when I got back. I had a cramp. I'M A RUNNER, dammit. I'm not suppose to get cramps. My legs aren't suppose to hurt. And NO I will NOT go to a doctor. They just tell me not to run. *rolls eyes*

^Dontcha just HATE it when they tell ya not to run? Well I dont have an entry really, cuz I havent been running. I just got so sick of it. My coach told me to take this week off becuase she thinks I might be burnt out. But a whole week? I don't know. I think I am gonna start again tomorrow. I am just getting sick of running I guess. BUT! I know that will all change September 3rd (first xc meet) because I am soooo ready to kick some butt!

Date: 8/23/02 Distance: around 4 miles I think... Time: Well, I WAS timing but then we went to Taco Bell to get some water and I accidently left my watch running, so I dunno. Other details: I was running with some girls from my XC team and it was a little tense because XC officially starts on Monday and the first day is going to be a hard work-out. We're all a little nervous I think. Of course it was fun though!

I haven't posted in this thread but for my own sake maybe I should.... Date: last week of August, 2002 Distance: no clue. not very much. Time: 35 minutes Other Details: That was my typical run the last week of the summer, feeling like I better get in shape for cross country. Gotta start somewhere. I felt great because I didn't expect myself to feel that good. I probably would have ran more than 35 minutes but it started getting dark Date: 09/20/02 Distance: about 11 kilometers. With hills, just the small ones today. That's about 7 miles. Time: 2 hours total, but this was with small breaks in between, stretching, etc. Other Details: This is the 2nd week of cross country. The coaches decided I have POTENTIAL so I should run with the "FAST" people. Seemed to be a good decision today but we'll see how I feel tomorrow *wondering how good I could be if I cared*

I don't really keep track of how much I run since it's not my favorite thing to do and i only do it at school or with my friend who loves running, I don't like running because it can be hard on your knees if you not careful (and i'm not) and your knees are a Skiiers Archilles Heel
But anyways the reason i posted was to congradulate all of you who do run because a lot of people don't run because it is flat out hard for them, but to those of you who enjoy it Good Work!! ;D ;D ;D

Just thought I'd let you all know the reason as to why I haven't posted here lately. Field hockey season has started, and since I have practice every day, I don't have time to just go for runs anymore. But I'm still staying in running shape - we run about 5 miles every day between warm-up laps, dribble laps, drills, sprints, and field laps. Anyways, good luck with your running everyone, and to all the people in XCountry, good luck with your season!

Date: The month of September, 2002 Distance: usually 7-10 km, each day Time: over 2 hours, sometimes shorter, sometimes a little longer Other Details: Yup, that's X-Country practice. Haven't been keeping specific track as I should be, but I also haven't been attending practice as much as I should be. 3 times a week, maximum. And all the days I plan to run on my own, it just doesn't happen. I really need more *drive*...
Good luck everyone at your meets! Let us know how you do!

My ankle (which used to be really bad) has been feeling a lot better lately and I have been taking short runs (i.e. around the neighborhood), so I decided to go on a little run this morning. Date: 10/06/02 Distance: 2.6mi/4.2km Time: i have no clue Other Details: none really, it just feels so good to be able to run again without a lot of pain.

I decided to go on a short, short, short run today to just blow off some stress and anger I had, and to see if field hockey season being over had begun to take its toll on me yet.
DATE: 11/21/02 DISTANCE: 1.5 miles/2.4 kilometers TIME: Under 8 minutes, don't know the exact time...I was just seeing how hard I could go, especially with the hill. OTHER DETAILS: I have re-discovered why I got into running in the first place...it totally cleared my mind, just that short little run.
