What's everyone's favorite cover song(s)?
I personally like "I Melt With You" by Mest (I think it's better than the original), and "Uptown Girl", by Weezer.

i love the entire from the screen to the stereo cd by nfg...and greased by less than jake...they are AMAZING songs...also...i found a version of jeramiah was a bullfrog that is HILARIOUS...no idea who its by though...  |

Ummm.... yes I'm dumb, no need explaining that to me but.... What's a cover song??!! I mean, I know what a 'song' is (I should hope so!) But *cover* song?! Explain?!

It's pretty much a remake of a song. If anyone else can elaborate on that, please do so. For example, New Found Glory, who are pretty much a punk/alternative group, has made remakes of songs such as "I Want it That Way" by the Backstreet Boys, and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". It has the same melody, and you can tell it's that song, but it has a real punk rock feel to it. They pretty much took old songs and made them "cool" again.  Hope that explains it a little better. |

I like the New Found Glory cover of "I Love Rock and Roll"...and the H2O cover of "Like A Prayer".
Oh yeah, and I also like Goldfinger's version of "99 Red Balloons"...and the one where I'm not sure whether it's by MxPx or 7 Seconds.... heh. I like that song ^_^
