A little trivia. The voices you hear in Yellow Submarine are none other than Ringo, George, and Paul. I heard this confirmed after hear a rare version of Yellow Submarine that was heavy on the sound effects.
And to show what true musicians the Beatles were. Ringo once heard a symphony playing and was aware of an instrument that sounded like a high-noted trumpet. He heard the sound and found what he wanted for a song he was working on and invited the player, Dave Mason to come to the studio to play the music Ringo wanted. The instrument is called a Piccolo Trumpet. You've heard it before, it's in the song Penny Lane.

A little Beatles trivia: During the making of How I Won The War, there was a lot of down-time between shoots (filming). John Lennon would often sit and write new songs and one of them was a tribute to his boyhood days in Liverpool. Today, we know this song better as Strawberry Fields, and on the radio, they did takes One, where the Beatles were trying out the song. Take Seven was a little fuller, and the final take is what we hear now.
And on the Abbey Road cover, the arrangement is, John Lennon was a priest, Ringo was the undertaker, Paul the deceased, and George Harrison was the grave-digger. They took some 25 pictures of this scene to get the one they wanted. In the final picture, all the Beatles are in-step except for Paul, because he’s dead. In the back on the white Volkswagen, the license plate reads Paul’s age IF 28, meaning, what if he made it to 28 years old. This whole Paul is dead” thing was started by a D.J. in Detroit.

My dad was a huge Beatles fan! So I grew up listening to every song. All of their songs are great. I even did a project on them my freshman year!

Ya, I like the Beatles, I grew up on oldies so it's childhood flashbacks for me. I could turn on the radio and rock out to Pink Floyd, Led Zepplin, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Jimi Hendrix and I'll stop now because I don't want to take up a huge page of bands ok back to the Beatles, I like most of their songs but just blanked on all the names I like......
