why does the sun shine
laughing merciless in your face
when pain stabs through your body
and your mind is numb with agony
Your body is being ripped apart
from head to toe
Uncomprehendable words in the mind
unwanted
rejected
left alone
why does the cloudy day hang over you
like a dark omen of the coming day
when you are blissyfully unawares
everything at peace
warm and comforted
strong hands that fix anything laying over your heart
sheilding out all the pain
bringing
happiness
why does the full moon look down on you
with such utter remorse
and sadness
and why do the stars twinkle like jems in the sky
bestowed upon a new bride
when all you can do is sit and think
of all you have lost from him?
