I absolutely LOVE this show! It is so cool, after watching this I want to rip my whole house apart! My favorite designer is Genivive (sp?) All her things come out cool.  I also like Vern, he is more classy, and everyone always likes his. Frank's are good, but sometimes too "busy".  I don't like Hildy's she is too, well, weird.  Doug is sorta weird too.  I don't know the girl w/ red curly hair, but her things are sometimes cool, sometimes not.  <br>But, best of all is Ty. He is so freaking hot!! He is so cute about things too.  Ah, isn't he the best? A lot of rooms turn out pretty ugly, but what can you expect on a $1000 budget?  My least favorite room was the apartment done in the red and white pattern on the walls.  That was hideous!

I like Vern the best out of the designers... And I want to have Ty Pennington's children.  He's incredibly hot, AND he could work around the house.

I agree, I could have his children easily.  The one that is on tonight, I have already seen. It is a good one.  Vern does a room in Fung Shei (sp?) and it turns out really cool.  Yeah, I like him to. I would have to disagree with one thing you said though, I think most of the rooms come out really cool.  I mean, for a $1000 budget, they are pretty good. That is just my opinion though.

I love this show!!!!!! My fave designers are Vern, Genevieve (sp?) and Frank. The redhead (what the heck is her name?) drives me up a wall. It's like everytime someone says please don't change this one thing, she does it! Deosn't she care about these people who have to live there or is she just power tripping? Argh! Franks funny, lol, Vern's cute, funny and not afraid to work, Genevieves sweet, and nice. Ty is cute, but he's also hilarious. I do agree about the whole red and white wall thing, it looked like big red retro tv sets on the wall. Very, very weird. Even weirder is that they liked it! My mom and I are starting to think of all these things we can do with our house and my dorm room now. It's funny. I probably watch about 7 or 8 episodes a week now,  , but I love it! Oh and yes Dougs a bit odd and very sensitive. Did you all see the one where he frieked over the fireplace? Oh, and did you all see Paige Davises wedding? It was pretty. I like her too, she seems like a very happy person.

I *love* this show! Ty is incredibly awesome and my favorite designers are Genivieve, Hildy, and Vern. They are oh-so-very creative. Although I still love the show, I think Alex id a better job as a host compared to Paige.

Oracle@Delphi, extreme ottoman, lol! That was hilarious! He looked so cute when he did it!! Did you see the part where he climbed the tree? So hot.....! I think that Paige does a much better job.  When Alex did it, it was boring, she wasn't very lively or anything.  Paige like jumps around, and dances, she is so cute! All her outfits are adorable. I want her wardrobe!!

For me, personally, that show is a once in awhile thing. The majority of the time, the rooms are ugly (yes, $1000  budget, but c'mon, you can redo a room nicely with a $1000 budget. I'm pretty much doing my room over again with $100, but that's another story), and like girlpoet21 said, one designer does what the person who lives in the house told them not to do.

And don't get me started on Paige Davis. LOL Maybe it's just me, but I find her too "lively". She tries to hard to be peppy. I hate people like that. On a better note, some of the rooms come out decent and if you want some small tips or ideas (not major ones), then this is a good show for that.

Anyone see that one show where when the woman saw her room, she just started bawling and left the room? I felt so bad for her...

I know!  They sometimes don't respect the owner's wishes at all.  The designers don't have to live in the house, now do they?  On one episode, the owners specifically said "Don't do anything to the fireplace." What do they do?  Paint the fireplace, of course.

^Actually he didn't paint the fireplace, he had Ty (    ) build something over it, so they could of taken it off.  I think that was the same one that the lady left the room bawling.  I personaly don't feel bad, b/c they are the ones that signed up to do the show.  They asked for something different, and that is what they get!  They don't do it on "purpose" If they aren't willing to let someone change their house, they shouldn't of signed up for the show! Plus, Paige says at the beginning that you have NO SAY over what happens in the room.  I don't know, it makes me mad when people get all pissed and say they will change it the next day. Maybe I am the only one who feels this way.....

I love Trading Spaces. I actually thought the red and white room was so cool! But did any of you see the the room with the MOSS (I repeat, moss) on the wall? Ugh, it was dreadful. The people came in at the end of the show, and the woman was like, "What the hell is that?!" It was pretty funny.
Oh, and how about the funky shelves...I think it was Genevieve who did them? It was like a big square with smaller squares inside...durr...gonna try to draw it:

Trading Spaces rocks my socks.
One of my favorite rooms was the one Genevieve did with turquoise walls and a black floor. It looked so nice.
I also like the one Lorrie (the curly haired redhead) did with the yellow walls and shelving unit thing.... it's on the newest episode, I think.
Doug is awesome, I love his personality (not so much his rooms).
Vern is also cool. Did anyone ever notice his biceps? They're pretty massive!
Hildi (Hilda? I don't know) is..... eh. She put hay on a wall! She couldn't have been in many barns. But I like the room she did like a circus top- that was so cool!
Frank is ok. Sometimes I like his designs, sometimes I despise them.
Amy Wynn and Ty are both funny, although Ty can get a little annoying. Er... very annoying.

I love this show. its addictive. Genevive, Lorrie, and Vern's rooms(IMO) come out the best. Frank is a little too country for me. With doug's rooms, you either love it or hate it. I think the lady who cried about her fireplace, the designer even compromised by covering it with a box. You go in there and your gonna have to deal with it or redo it if you dont like it. Things might turn out bad but you can always fix it. If they dont want change then they can redo their own room. i would sure like it if i didnt have to pay to have a room redone.

Here's what I think of everyone on the show

Laurie (the redhead): Most of her rooms are really nice. Except that light blue one she did. Man, that was awful. I think if I had to choose someone to decorate my room, she'd be the second choice.

Vern: He's such a sweetheart! He's also the best designer, IMO. So, if I were on the show, I wouldn't be able to decide whether I'd rather work with him or have him decorate my room. Of course, you don't really get a choice anyway...

Frank: He's a crappy designer, but he's so sweet. You've just gotta love him. He can be my new buddy

Hildi: I'd die if I had to work with this woman. She's really annoying. Her rooms are pretty crappy too. I think she's really pretty, though, on a side note.

Genevieve: Some of her rooms are great, some are okay, but she seems like a lot of fun and she tries really hard to give people what they want.

Dez: Anyone remember that freak from season one? I love watching episodes with her simply because it's amusing. I wish they'd bring her back just so I could laugh at the awful crap she does. She was mean, too.

Doug: God, he's so hot. And no, I'm not getting him confused with Ty, all you normal girlies His rooms are so-so, and he's kind of bossy, but damn! He's probably gay, though. Still, I'd let him boss me around any day...

Ty: He's okay. He's funny, though. That extreme otoman thing was great ;D

Amy Wynn: She's one cool chick. You gotta admit it. I think she seems really sweet. haha, also a bit clumsy. And the reason they call her Amy Wynn is that it's a compound first name. Even though it seems more like a first and last name.

Did anyone else love that episode where Doug decorated that beautiful room (and I'm not saying that because I think he's hot, I really did love it) for that lady and she got all upset over her damn fire place? It cracks me up every time.

I felt so bad for the other couple, though, you could tell they worked really hard and felt bad.

I'm gonna go find some Doug pictures to daydream about *sigh*
