The Olsen Twins. They've been around forever. So what do ya think of'em?
They are currently starring in their second season of 'So Little Time.' They have CDs, a clothing line, a magazine, movies, TV shows...everything you can think of. What's your opinion on them? Think they're cheap? Are they totally awesome...with an awesome style? <br> Post your thoughts and opinions here! ;D

I don't really hate them or anything. They're okay, I guess. I think their magazine is way overpriced, and the clothes are pushing it a little. However, it's good they're spreading themselves out.
I'm surprised they haven't gone out solo yet. It's always Mary-Kate and Ashley together. You would think they would each want their separate time in the spotlight.
With the exception of Full House, their shows never seem to do that great. Their newest one, Two of a Kind, I think it's called, isn't exactly my favorite show, but it can be pretty entertaining on a Saturday afternoon when there's nothing else on.

Thing is, I don't think they would be worth much as two seperate people. I don't think people would give them a second glance if there weren't two of them, twins are a great marketing gimmick for some reason... I just think that there's too much of them. They're doing too much and in the end, people are just going to get tired of them and they'll be on ET's "What Happened to..." whatever they call it. At least, I'm getting tired of them.

For some reason, I haven't really seen or heard a lot about them lately. I have seen a couple episodes of their latest TV series and it's gotten better. Well better than it was when it first started.

i don't really mind them. i watched full house religiously when i was younger, i've probably seen every episode in their two of a kind series four times... i'm just wodnering when they'll get the hint that their newest TV shows are just going to continue to flop.
and they market themselves so much it makes me sick. i think they've gone a little too far with all the movies, video games, clothing line, magazine...

^I agree, they go a little far with things. I don't mind their tv show, So Little Time, but I cannot stand their movies. There are all so corny! They always end up meeting some guy, falling in love, and saving the day. They are very predictable. I think they are pretty, but if they weren't twins, I don't think they would of made it anywhere, b/c they aren't the best actress'. I don't know what to think of them. They need to go their separate ways, but as someone else said, if they do, their career would fall apart. I just hope over marketing won't kill them. They certainly have a lot of that! lol!

I have nothing against these girls personally, but I do think they are way over-marketted right now, and seem to just be a couple money makers for themselves, and whoever is working with them like the "adults" back there.
I understand wanting to do acting with shows, and stuff, but clothing (does anybody know if THEY actually "designed" this crap, or is it someone else and they just put their names on it to sell better?), magazines (puh-leeze. I've seen it, nothing special), video games (wtf? since when did actresses get video games?), and so on.
Someone asked what designers do they wear. I'd like to think they'd wear their own clothing from "their clothing company" thingy right? If they have it out, and not wear it. Sounds like another thing just for the cash.
And like someone said, they're not very good actresses. They just got lucky, and the whole twins thing sells. But good gawd is it old.
I can only stand so many "let's switch" plots in twins movies before I can throw up.

I really don't see why they have so much stuff selling for them. Like Naru said, why do *they* have videogames?? They're actresses!! I mean I'd understand if they had it if they were singers (ie Spice Girls,Britany Spears). I only own two movies that they're in. But I don't see what the big deal is. Ok,they're twins,so what?!? Why do they need all these movies out, anyway?? I didn't even know until know that they had their own clothing line. And yeah I also think they're going 'too far'. I mean just because I say this doesn't mean I don't like them. I've grown up hearing their name and seeing all those books that they wrote or are in or whatever. I mean I think they're pretty, but I don't think they need to make movies everytime they find a so-called cute boy to put in it. ~~~~~~Heather,(Edward Furlong,Mike Shinoda,Chester Bennington,KidRock & Joe C. LOVER!!!!!! Linkin park RULES!!!!!!)

>>I think they dress so cute ! Love to know what designers they wear ! What are they, 15-16 now ?<<
I also think they dress fashionably cute. One of the designers I know they wear is Gucci. They have adult clothes cut down to their sizes. Yep, they just turned 16 over the summer, so now they're legal to drive. They've also got a new movie out called "Sweet 16". It's about a roadtrip...it looks like a cute little movie.
>>I understand wanting to do acting with shows, and stuff, but clothing (does anybody know if THEY actually "designed" this crap, or is it someone else and they just put their names on it to sell better?), magazines (puh-leeze. I've seen it, nothing special), video games (wtf? since when did actresses get video games?), and so on.<<
Yes, they do actually design that 'crap' along with some help with their fashion director, Judy Schwartz. And yes, they have magazine...so what? Rosie has her own magazine...why not the Olsen twins? It's just another magazine to put out on the market. And why can't they have their own video games? If I do recall correctly, Britney Spears has her own video game too. But she's not only a singer, she an ACTRESS too, ya know.
>>Someone asked what designers do they wear. I'd like to think they'd wear their own clothing from "their clothing company" thingy right? If they have it out, and not wear it. Sounds like another thing just for the cash.<<
If I had my own clothing company, I wouldn't want to wear the clothes that I designed ALL the time. But yes, they do wear their own clothes sometimes, I've seen it. They do wear it.
>>And like someone said, they're not very good actresses. They just got lucky, and the whole twins thing sells. But good gawd is it old.<<
That's your own opinion.
>>I only own two movies that they're in. But I don't see what the big deal is. Ok,they're twins,so what Why do they need all these movies out, anyway?? I didn't even know until know that they had their own clothing line. And yeah I also think they're going 'too far'.<<
It's not a big deal. They don't 'need' all these movies out, they want to have them out. They like what they do, and they'll keep doing it until they get tired of it. I'm glad their happy. I don't think they're going 'too far' at all. They're two successful girls who are doing what they love and giving their fans what they request. If I do remember correctly, it was their fans request for them to make a clothing line.

I don't really have anything against *them*. I just can't stand the characters that they play. Especially on Full House. Ugh... Michelle was the most annoying character on that show. A lot of people used to think she was "so cute". I watched that show and thought, "damn, that is one annoying brat with a major attitude problem." But if that's what the show was going for, then Mary-Kate and Ashely did a really good job.
>>I really don't see why they have so much stuff selling for them. Like Naru said, why do *they* have videogames?? They're actresses!! I mean I'd understand if they had it if they were singers (ie Spice Girls,Britany Spears). <<
How is a singer having a video game any better than an actor having a video game? I don't really see the purpose of either. Although, if an actor has a video game, it might be based on a TV show or movie that they starred in, which would sort of make sense. But a Britney Spears video game? That's just stupid. I wonder what the premise is? "Get Britney to the end of her concert without her stripping all her clothes off." That's the only thing I can think of.

Britney Spears an actress.. HAHAHAHA Oh and that game? The total rip off of Dance Dance Revolution.. lmao thanks again for the laugh but I think Britney is as deserving of a game as the O-Twins are and that's pretty much none.
"If I had my own clothing company, I wouldn't want to wear the clothes that I designed ALL the time. But yes, they do wear their own clothes sometimes, I've seen it. They do wear it."
So they wear Gucci outfits, but have cheap crap of theirs made probably in some sweatshop to sell in Wal-Mart, somewheres you know they wouldn't be seen in? Ooookay. Like I said, it's just about the money.
"That's your own opinion."
No shit, I thought I was saying someone else's opinion. o.o

I don't say anything about them having movies considering their actresses, shitty actresses but actresses nonetheless. However, the rest is just about them laughing their way to the bank.
Do they write the stuff in the magazine? Or wait, they hired someone else to do that too just like their "fashion director". puh-leeze.

rofl lmao.. I agree with you. I understand if it was a movie like James Bond or something, but one just about yourself is so self-absorbed to me. As well as the O-Twin's Sweet 16 Doll. YAY They're 16.. so they get a doll.. wow talk about wanting to cash it in while you still have a chance. What's next? It's the O-Twins Christmas Doll, Halloween. omg they're 17!! Just one more year older let's get a doll collection for that too. blah.
I will say one thing, comparing them to other people in the limelight for little girls. The Olsen-Twins are a better role model then Britney and company even though they're commercialized beyond imagination.

^^^ Well, it seems that people will try any way possible to rip off 12 year old girls. It's kind of sad. When I was a kid, I used my money to buy books and art supplies. Nowadays, little girls are dishing out their cash to this crap. By the way, I bet that Britney video game is like twice as much as Dance Dance Revolution.

Wether you like it or not, yes, Britney Spears (*gasp*) IS an actress. She may be a crappy one (I wouldn't know, I haven't seen her movie), but an actress nontheless. Wether they deserve it or not doesn't matter. They have video games and there's nothing we can do about it.
So they wear Gucci outfits, but have cheap crap of theirs made probably in some sweatshop to sell in Wal-Mart, somewheres you know they wouldn't be seen in? Ooookay. Like I said, it's just about the money.
How would YOU know they wouldn't been seen there? Of course...money...money is good.

Why the hell would a Fashion Director write a magazine? Anyways...yes, they do write most of it.

"Well, it seems that people will try any way possible to rip off 12 year old girls. It's kind of sad. When I was a kid, I used my money to buy books and art supplies. Nowadays, little girls are dishing out their cash to this crap."
I know what you mean. They take total advantage of little girls. I mean you have N'Sync FRUIT SNACKS for crying out loud. PUH-LEEZE.
"By the way, I bet that Britney video game is like twice as much as Dance Dance Revolution."
lol I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised. I was at Wal-Mart the other day looking for a GameCube, and I found Britney's "dance mats". You know I was expecting something flashy and pink to try to catch a girl's eye, but they looked EXACTLY like the DDR ones.. talk about unoriginal. sheesh.
"Wether you like it or not, yes, Britney Spears (*gasp*) IS an actress. She may be a crappy one (I wouldn't know, I haven't seen her movie), but an actress nontheless."
Britney Spears like the Olsen Twins to me is an image. Something taken advantage of on both sides to sell as much crap to little girls as humanly possible, and fatten the pockets of themselves and the people who work back with them as much as they can.
I don't consider "Crossroads" a movie that involved acting, it was nothing but an hour long Britney commercial promoting her music, and molding her image.
Even Rolling Stone and other critics saw the same thing.
"Wether they deserve it or not doesn't matter. They have video games and there's nothing we can do about it."
I understand there's nothing I can do about it, but I'm just saying what I think on the matter that they aren't deserving of it, and the fact they believe they are shows a lot of arrogance to me.
"How would YOU know they wouldn't been seen there?"
How would YOU Know they would? I just doubt it if they have designer clothes specially made for them. If you could do that, would you be shopping for clothes in wal-mart?
"Of course...money...money is good."
Agreed. ^_^
"Why the hell would a Fashion Director write a magazine? Anyways...yes, they do write most of it."
Where did I say a Fashion Director would? I used that as an example of someone else doing work they take credit for and cash in with. I have a HARD time believing they write that magazine, design clothes, make these movies, do they actually design the games too? I doubt that. Like Britney, they have A LOT of people backthere working for them thinking of every humanly way to bank off them as possible while the O-Twins just enjoy the attention/money for their image.
I understand wanting to do movies because I do considering the O-Twins as actresses, but the whole let's make everything we can think of so they can sell to make as much money as possible has gone too far. Aren't they already rich enough?
