I like the part where Lucy is dancing on her bed, with a cowboy hat, to madonna's "Open your heart to me." song and her dad comes in... LOL OMG, that is sooo funny!!! I like that part too, I thought "CrossRoads" was just "OK" but I perfer "A Walk to Remember" above "CrossRoads" but still, "CrossRoads" was still good and cute! I wouldn't mind seeing it again. She had a cute outfit when she was in that bra and underware, God, I wish I had her Body!!! Its very Sexy!!! and I am a Britney fan! lol.....*runs and hides* ~~jewels

I just saw it last weekend. It was alright, pretty good (although I liked A Walk to Remember better). Britney wasn't a half bad actress, and her character didn't seem much like her (her character was like the virgin queen LoL), but she was better than I expected. Grungy Ben was actually hott!!

I don't think you could pay me enough money to sit and watch an hours worth of britney promotion. I couldn't stomach it.
To me her acting in the previews was nauseating enough, and the emphasis on the bed scene continues to prove her lack of talent, but of course why should that matter when you get to see her in her panties? Oh goodie! *rolls eyes*
The plot is weak, and sounds like it was put together by a 3rd grader. Girls go on a road trip, how ORIGINAL. Teen sex, pregnacy, blah blah blah, stuff that EVERY other teen movie has already covered.
Oh, yeah "girls road trip" yet there's a *GUY* too. That makes A LOT of sense, oh wait. Sexual tension, you gotta add that to the mix. So fucking transparent, it's pathetic.
I'm looking foward to seeing "A Walk To Remember" a movie that I've read deals with a thing called LOVE, something 99% of teen movies seem to forget about since they seem to think we're nothing but a bunch of horndogs anyways.
Oh, and I've read about Britney's character. She is a "goody goody" straight A student who loses her virginity to an "ex con" to show how she can be an oo "bad girl" now.
Oh my fucking god. Doesn't that sound pretty damn familiar? Let's look at Britney's image from the start. Goody Goody "think "Sometimes" video* that turns into a sexpot *think "Slave" video*. Just like I believe Rolling Stone said, this movie isn't about proving Britney is an actress. It's only continuing to bank on her imagine, and music career.
It couldn't be even more obvious, and I'm glad this movie got so many bad ratings.

I'm glad this movie got so many bad ratings.
Did it really? All I heard was that it was #2 in the box office, and that the first couple of weeks it made $20 million, and they said that was more than A Walk To Remember, On The Line and some other movie together. They also said that hardly any guys went to see it at all, despite her being in panties and whatnot. The average audience was teen girls, around 13-20 years old.
I haven't heard any bad reviews from movie critics, only people I know online, but either way, it doesn't really matter. It's just another stupid teen movie. It will die down soon enough. Why make a big deal out of it?

^^I've heard a lot of bad reviews, and ratings. If you want to read them, search Excite or MSN for them, they're there. Read Rolling Stone's review, it's bad, and they're usually pretty lenient with her. I've only heard one good review, and actually it was only mediocre. Crossroads actually only made 4 million more than A Walk To Remember that first weekend, I'm not sure about after that, but since it dropped from #2 to #5, I'd say it was a lot less. A Walk to Remember received better reviews, it's just that Britney has a few more fans.
If you think about it though, considering the difference in popularity between Britney and Mandy Moore, it's amazing, and I think very telling of Britney and Mandy's future success, that they were so close in opening box office.
As for Naru making a big deal out of it, sorry, I don't see that, she was just giving her opinion like everyone else who's posted on here. The movie is obviously a 2 hour commercial for Britney, and I can't respect that. If others like it, that's fine, but I *don't* think she was making a big deal out of it. It's not as original as they keep saying, and the fact that in interviews, Britney is constantly talking about it like it's a new idea, and how it is a road trip just for the girls, um, is there not a guy there? Anyways, I agree with Naru, and don't think she was making a big deal, just posting her opinion, as has everyone else.

Thanks girlpoet21, I totally agree.
Exactly how is my opinion making a "big deal out of it" moreso than everybody else's? Just because it wasn't the popular one, or the fact I explained moreso on how I felt instead of just putting 'Britney sucks". @_@
And it got A LOT of bad reviews. Girlpoet21 said that well too, the RS one bashed it like crazy, as well as other places. The local newspaper here did as well. It did well the first weekend of course due to Britney's popularity, but it's dropping down so fast kinda shows that word is spreading that to a lot of people, the hype isn't worth paying for.
And girlpoet I believe made an excellent point. It was only like a 4 million difference between Mandy's movie, and Britney's movie, but look at the popularity difference between their music careers. It really shows how far Mandy has gone, and how some people are getting sick of Britney.

Thanks Naru, I think you made good points too. It does sound like a kind of parody of her own life. How interesting and funny! Maybe SNL's writers are really behind it, and Anson Mount is really Jimmy Fallon who hasn't showered in three weeks. Lol, no Jimmy would *still* be much cuter! I'm glad to see you again, I missed ya!
Diva- Thanks for putting that link up, I've read the review a couple of times, and I did really enjoy it. LOL, it was funny.

*hugs girlpoet* missed ya too! ^__^
Thanks for the link diva.
Here's a quote from the review:
"The powers behind Crossroads aren't out to do something creative; they're protecting an investment in a pitchwoman."
And that's the exact point I was talking about. This movie is about helping Britney's music image, nothing more and that's why I don't respect it, or her because the more I hear about things she does, the more sickened I get at her total *LACK OF TALENT*.

*hugs Naru back* and smiles like a goon. That's a good quote. I would be embarassed to make something so transparently self promotional. Heck, I would be embarassed to be her.

^__^ lol me too. If I wanted to be in someone else's shoes in the pop industry. I'd choose Mandy Moore. Most people respect her at least, even if they don't like her music.

I've heard a lot of bad reviews, and ratings.I don't doubt it. I was just saying that from what I heard, mostly all the reviews were good. But again, this is only what I heard, so I don't take that too seriously. I know there are bad reviews, it's just at the time, I hadn't heard any. A Walk to Remember received better reviews, it's just that Britney has a few more fans. I may be in the minority with this, but personally, I go to see a movie because it looks good, not who's in it. I mean, if somebody I really loved made a movie, but I thought it looked bad, I wouldn't waste my money. I guess Britney fans don't see it that way. As for Naru making a big deal out of it, sorry, I don't see that, she was just giving her opinion like everyone else who's posted on here.Ack! I need to word things better. I wasn't implying that she, or anyone else that has posted here, was making a big deal out of it. I meant that as a general term. Most movies that come out aren't talked about all that much, and don't have a big deal made of them, with the exception of a few, such as Titanic when it came out, and Harry Potter, but the majority don't, and I don't see what all the excitement is with Britney's movie. I'm sorry I gave the wrong impression with that. Exactly how is my opinion making a "big deal out of it" moreso than everybody else's?It wasn't at all. Like I said above, when I said "why make a big deal out of it", I meant everyone, as in the general public. That movie is talked about everywhere you go, it seems, and I don't see why. Britney is nothing to get excited over. *lol* I feel really bad that I didn't clarify what I meant. I'm really sorry. diva- Thanks for the link.
