OMG, its like THE best movie EVER! My mom rented it for me on DVD and its sooo gooood!!!! They have, on the DVD, a part where Mandy, Shane, and I guess the director talk about the movie while its playing. So the movie is playing and they are talking about all the scenes and everything and its hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing.
But, OMG, if you haven't seen this movie you have to rent it, because its like the best movie ever. Mandy and Shane are great together. I always liked Mandy as a singer, but she is a great actress to. And SHANE!!!!! Can we say HOT!?? How many times should we say it! AHHHH, i love him!!
GREAT MOVIE!

When the movie came out in the theaters, no one would see it with me. so i had to wait for it to come out on video. I got my mom to buy the DVD and i finally watched it tonight. I LOVED IT! i didn't think it would be as good as it was, but i really enjoyed the movie. i was impressed with mandy's acting skills... and shane west was pretty cute i think i'll have to get the book. i nearly cried at the end. if i'd been watching it by myself, i would have definitely cried. good movie. yes.

I love this movie! I saw it when it was in theatres and bought it immediately when it came out on DVD. It's such a sweet movie! *sniff!* Shane is such a cutie and I think Mandy does a great job. And I also love the music in the movie (Switchfoot, Mandy, The New Radicals). Now I just need to read the book but it's always checked out at the library!

*sigh* I hate to admit it, but, I saw this movie recently, and it didn't suck as much ass as I thought it would. That's the nicest I intend to get, don't expect better. I was babysitting an 11 year old girl who rented it, so excitedly, and I got so annoyed that she had chosen THAT movie of all to rent. I hate romance. I hate kissy lovey crap. It just irritates me. But the beginning was really cool (probably the best part of the movie). It began like some horror movie would...heh, the stupid dude hit his head ;D After the really cool chase, it got cheesy, but uh, it was tolerable. Mandy Moore's acting was extremely impressive--I completely expected her to suck. Usually, when they have some singer go into acting, it's for sales, and I assumed she would be horrible. But she's a much more talented actress than I ever would have thought, and I think she should take up acting instead of singing. They didn't fill the whole movie with Mandy-pop either, which I really appreciated. Although I am not a Christian, I liked that they portrayed her as one, but didn't make her your typical teenage so-called Christian who would go sleep with her boyfriend at the first request. They really made her faith strong, and she actually seemed like a real, good person. They did make her somewhat of a prude and a bit shy, but that was the point of the role. I liked that they didn't sleeze her up after they got together. My only issue with the movie was that everything went way too quickly. One minute, this Landon guy (what the hell kind of name is Landon?) hates her, the next, he almost likes her, the next, he's kissing her, then they're on a date and suddenly they're in love and engaged. I mean, things do not progress like that. That one guy, though--Landon's best friend--man, he was hysterical. Pretty good movie, but uh, I'll never admit it again

I didn't really like the movie ... the book was good though. I cried a lot reading the book, but not at all through the movie.
I don't get why it was so sad when Landon hugged his dad. My friends and I were laughing during the part because it looked like he was choking his dad, by the way he was pulling his shirt. And then there's the part when Landon is driving somewhere by himself, and they focus on his face. He's SUPPOSED to look like he's crying, but in reality it looked like he was trying not to laugh or something. I was laughing during that part too.
I probably sound really insensitive, but whatever. It definitely wasn't the best movie, and not as sad as most people made it to be.
And I'm the type who cries over Disney movies.

I had heard so many great things about the movie so when it came out in stores, I had to rent it. I'm glad I did. I haven't read the book yet but the movie was great. It is nice to see a movie targeting my age group that didn't have all the violence and sex that most movies have now.
