I'm in 7th grade, and I took my ACTs through this program they have for gifted students. I made a 21 in English, 18 in Reading, 14 in Math, 13 in Science, and an Average of 17. I think I did good, seeing as I had no way to prepare, and I'm only in seventh grade. Has anyone else taken theirs?

Well I'm going to register for the June 8th ACT because I talked to the councilor at Seattle U and she recommended to take both cuz they look at the better score. As for the SAT, I took it last Saturday and I don't think I did well on it cuz I started to feel sick in the middle of the test and I couldn't focus. Oh well, I'm gonna take it again in May.

[glow=pink,2,300]I took the ACT test back in the 7th grade too. I don't remember exactly what I got, overall was like a 17 or 18 I think. I'm going to take my first real ACT sometime in April.[/glow]

Well, I just bought a book to help me prepare for the ACT and I've learned a whole lotta stuff, and it really explained what the test is all about.
I just wanted to know what test some of you had taken, or did you take both? And were you stressed out about it? When did you take it, junior or senior year? Thanks guys.

I got a 1250 (700 in math and 550 in verbal) on the SAT's. Needless to say, I was very disappointed.

I took the ACT in my junior year (I'll be a senior this year)and I wasn't too stressed out about it (surprisingly). I got a 27 on it, which I think is great. I'm gonna be getting some tutoring in math so hopefully I can get my score up to 29-30 when I take it again.

^^^ The SAT's are divided into two parts: math and verbal. Each are worth a total of 800 points, so the highest you can get is a 1600. And I think that 1000 is considered average.

i haven't taken 'em yet- but i will this year. i'm a Senior, &i'm not going to college, so the only reason i'm taking 'em is b/c it's required for me to graduate high school (although it doesn't matter if you pass or fail either one). i'll probably get a pretty high score on the verbal parts, but the math parts are my problem areas.

Thanks Cassiopeia. A 700 is still really good. I think I'm just going to take the ACT.

^^^ Yeah, I know. I scored in like the 95th percentile for math, or something like that. But I only scored in the 65th percentile for the verbal. That just made me really disappointed. I have really great verbal skills, too. I just test poorly on them, I suppose.

On the ACT's and SAT's do they ask you to list the colleges you are interested in?

I got a 25 on my ACT. That was kinda disappointing to me. I know it's not a bad score but I can do better. I just need to work on my math a little and I should do better the next time around.

I took the ACTs this past Febuary & I got 21 in English, 16 in Math, 21 in Reading, 22 in Science & my average was 20. I was only in 7th so I think thats pretty good. I ranked better or at the same level of 48% of the people who took the ACTs too!
