Well, while I agree with you guys on fluff being irritating, it can be fun to just post random stuff sometimes. If someone hasn't done it already, would anyone be offended if I started a Fluff thread? I got the idea from Razzberry. It's nice: you can be hyper and silly all you want, but you won't bother anyone who's looking for a hardcore debate. Love, ~The Kitten~

I think that's a very good idea. Except for that people would still get stars for making posts with one word. I mean, it wouldn't be fair if someone made 500 posts with "lol" in them, and was ranked higher than someone who made 250 posts with actual thought to them. So actually, while an interesting idea, I don't think it would work.

No we don't need a fluff thread. And if I see one I'll delete it immediatly and/or reduce user's post counts.

I've seen ALOT of fluff! I mean everyone has been here for a little less than a month! Some people Have over 300 posts already! I mean I dont really see the point in posting more than 10 posts a day.

Well, yeah...but I'm on the computer constantly. And you expect me to make only 10 posts in over 3 hours? Uh, no..not gonna happen. I have, like, 10 posts an hour. And..no, they aren't fluff.

Yeah, yeah....geez people. You all know it was me, so why not say it? Yeah, my count has been lowered. *gasp* And I'm aware of it. For crying out loud, I didn't even know what the heck fluff WAS until I came to these boards. I'm new to this kind of thing, aight? Calm down...I wasn't doing it for the stars anyways.
And here's honest for you Nikki - YES you fluff. Sometimes. Not a lot though. And I know I've fluffed before. *gasp* I'm sorrrrrrry! I take more pride in my posts now..
yeesh...seems like I have been the talk of the boards or some thing.

Yes there is/was a LOT of fluff on these boards. I was amazed that since they've only been around for a month, that it could be that bad already! And it was really disappointing because in the week before Razz closed, I worked hard convincing Razzers to come here, and posting to keep the boards alive.
A few weeks later the quality of these boards was reduced to 'lolz' and " ;D". Not worth reading at all.
I'm definitely against the idea of a fluff thread. People would abuse it simply to raise their post count. If you have something random to say, at it at the end of a quality post or go somewhere else.
Okay, okay, I'll just say it. (no offense to anyone) We all know by now that ^^ did a bit of fluffing. It pissed me off at first but after reading this thread, it's okay, let's not get all upset. It's a new place with new users learning new things. Things are changing so let's get over it and move on, go do some quality posting!
Bottom line? If you don't have anything to say that's worthwhile for others to read, don't post!

Yes, fluffing has become a bit more noticeable lately, but I'm sure that after reading this thread, others may hesistate and think a bit before they post a one-worded reply. Back at Razzberry, I could not remember one time that I posted a "fluffy" post. This is because I made sure that whatever I said would contribute to the conversation in some way. I wanted to make sure that I earned my stars fair and square. I had a motto, you see : "If you have nothing to add to the discussion, don't add a dull thought" Which virtually meant that if I had no opinion or had nothing new to put forth, I simply would not post. Now, this certainly left we with a lack in posts, I suppose, compared to other who had joined around the same time. But at least I knew that I had made a great many meaningful posts than a great many unmeaningful. So I really hope other posters keep this in mind. If you have something to say, by all means, do not hold it back. But do remember that if you cannot make a decent point or thought worth more than one word, it is really not worth posting.

Spastic - actually I don't think you fluff at all, what's wrong with posting a lot (when you have something to say)? And do you guys think I fluff? I don't think I do, or at least not on purpose... ~*Esther*~
