I have a 5 pound 20 year old cat that's prolly gonna die soon, I'm so sad, he's been there since I was born!
*smooches kitty cat*
My friend, a control freak and dog lover, said she likes kittens but not cats. Because kittens are cuter.
I completely blew up at her and told her she was going to be a horrible parents because after her kids aren't babies or toddlers anymore, she'll probably give them away because they're not cute anymore. Eh heh. We're not quite so close anymore. She's convinced animals are there just to be cute and decorative pieces that obey her. She likes dogs "because you can tell them what to do." You have no idea how much self-restraint it took not to analyze her.

I love cats! I've always been more of a cat person. Right now, I've got one cat that's sitting on my lap, Timmy. I named him after a goldfish, hehe. He's a black cat, I think a bombay. He's all black, there's no white on him *anywhere* like there is with most black cats. And he's so soft too. He's also a real sweetie. He's the cat that made my mom like cats. When we got him, he was about to die, so we nursed him back to health, and he barely made it, but he did! And he's gotten in some trouble (he got hit by a car and broke his pelvis once, and he got stuck 75 feet up a tree for a few days too ). Timmy also comes when he's called and fetches. My other cat, Fil, is a little over a year old. She's also black, but she's got white under her chin and on her belly/chest area. She's really cuddly, and she's got a funny personality too. Her full name is Filibuster (because I think that being a senator would be worth it for the filibusters). She's got so many nicknames. Anyway, she's so cute. And really tolerant (all my cats seem to put up with almost anything I can throw at them). I used to have more, but they died... And Shrubby, I've got friends like that, kind of. They don't say that *exactly* though. Anyway, hehe, I agree with you. My cats can't be told what to do because they're smarter than my dog. Animals aren't there just to be cute. Although cats *are* cute.

I love cats! I have three but only one lives with me. Oreo is white/gray (if he's dirty), with gray paws. He is about 3 or 4. He has such thick, long hair that gets everywhere! He also has big pretty blue eyes. I lurve him to death! Chester is all black with short hair and green eyes. He is about 1 year old. He freaks out whenever there are a lot of people around him. He'll start walking around and hissing. Scary. We think he might be blind. Agatha, the one that lives with me, is gray, brown, and dark grey all mixed up. She is about 9 years old. She got in a cat fight 4 days ago. The other cat bit her foot so we had to take her to the vet. She hasn't been outside in 4 days, because she limps. She is getting better. Poor thing.

We have two cats, one of whom is also named Oreo. The other is Midnight. We didn't name them. Those were the names they had when we adopted them. I've always had cats, but my mother wouldn't take care of them very well. I mean, she loved them and kept them fed and made sure they had a warm place to sleep in the winter, but they lived outside and weren't neutered and didn't have their shots and all that. But now I'm on my own and you can bet my cats are properly taken care of. We found a stray outside our apartment one day and took her in. She was black and white, and very very thin. Poor little baby. She was an adult and weighed four pounds. Long story short, her ashes now reside on top of our bookcase. Two weeks or so later, we went to Petsmart and checked out the cats up for adoption. We ended up choosing Midnight and Oreo, two four month old sisters. We felt kind of guilty getting kittens, because everyone wants kittens and leaves the older ones alone, but we figured they weren't tiny kittens anymore and also probably if we didn't get them they would have been split up. Plus Midnight was all black and Oreo was black and white, like our stray. And they were found starving in a crawlspace when they were tiny kittens. Their foster mother said you could see Oreo's bones, which probably has something to do with why she's the chubbier of the two now. I'm sure our stray is happy we saved other cats from ending up like her. Well, they certainly aren't starving now. They're neutered and have all their shots and live in our apartment with their three cat trees, two cat carriers (Oreo likes to sleep in the one with the self-heating mat inside) tons of cat treats, lots of little toy mice, and numerous other toys. Plus random boxes to play in and a nice cat bed that I've only seen Midnight sleeping in like twice. Oh, and a little water fountain thing so they'll always have fresh running water to drink. And the best quality food available at pet stores, none of that Wal-Mart crap. And leads and harnesses so we can take them outside sometimes, and safety collars with their rabies tag and a cute heart-shaped tag with their name and phone number and address. They're our dear sweet little babies and we love them very much. Soon we'll have to buy adult food for them, and I'll cry and cry and cry.

My cat's name is Lucky, and she is 15 years old. She is literally a part of our family, i remember when we moved 3 years ago and for 2 weeks she cried and cried because it wasnt her home She is theeee most spoiled cat! She is the fussiest eater, I have ever seen..And if the world was coming to an end she would not get up to see whats going on I remember dressing her up as a child, and playing with her as if she was doll lol..Sounds like animal cruelty to me now, but back then I obviously didnt think so. She's my kitty, and I truly dont know what I will do when she isnt around anymore..Oh well, I hope it isnt for a loooong tiiime!
